Clean and friendly hotel with spacious rooms. We booked it as we were attending a wedding at Bradbourne House and were delighted that the hotel was both easy to find and within walking distance of Bradbourne House.
Stained sheets and mattress, furniture 'thread-bare', bathroom filthy, TV didn't work
Staff very obliging
That I had to work whist there
Single room was reasonable size but single bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Bedding far too hot for weather conditions. Had to remove duvet cover and sleep with just the cover. Furniture shabby.
Nice place good breakfast friendly staff
Poor bed terrible pillows
Friendly staff and very clean. Ample parking. Tesco Express and petrol station next door.
Breakfast... Where were the cereals and fresh fruit? Had to ask for then wait for 5mins for brown bread for toast. The bedroom furmiture and bathroom were rather old, 'tired' and in need of refurbishment.
Staff very helpfull, bar man was excellent.
No wifi in bedroom. Really needed wifi in bedroom as planning a road trip as you go.
After receiving an e-mail asking our time of arrival, the room still wasn't ready. A room number was designated to us and we had to take our baggage with us to a family event. We returned after 10pm and wanting a shower. The shower head was black and the shower curtain had seen better days. The floor was dusty and the paintwork yellow. The wardrobe had a big white patch where the kettle was too close and the varnish burnt off. The mattress was very uncomfortable and lumpy. However, the towels and the bed linen were clean and fresh though. The breakfast was cold and overcooked. The conservatory was in need of a good clean and some repairs. It would take a great deal to convince us to pay a return visit.
Friendly place and we enjoyed the breakfasts though we had expected a continental buffet. We did miss our cereal choices! The room was quiet and spacious.
The hotel did seem slightly run down in need of some decoration and some refurbishment. A lack of cutlery.
The coffee was undrinkable
Tired decor, no bath towels in bathroom, food substandard. Breakfast listed on booking as continental it was a very untidy unappetising fatty bacon fatty egg sausage etc horrible.
Good location and good value for money.
definite room for improvement on the cleanliness side of things. The shower head in my room (007) was completely furred up with green limescale.
No wifi in room as advertised Uncomfortable old bed
Close to M26 Motorway. Reasonable prices for food and accommodation. Next to petrol station & shop and near a pub for convenience shopping.
External security lights penetrated to curtains and it was not fully dark in the front room we had.
Attentive, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good facilities, including free wifi in my room. Full English breakfast included in the room price.
Value, staff helpfulness, size of room.
Maybe a few more items could be available at breakfast
The continental breakfast used to be a plus point for this hotel. Now it has become very limited indeed, not really appealing at all. This needs to be put right.
Staff most helpful, breakfast very good
Would like a softer bed but that's personal and may not worry other patrons
cheap price,good parking
rooms were very hot no air con had windows open but the noise from the building works next to the hotel was loud, could not get anything to eat after 8.30
Large room, comfortable bed and linen. Good shower. Useful accessories in the room. Beautiful grounds. Plenty of parking. Good food.
The service at dinner was questionable. We were warned there would be a wait for dinner, which was fine, but we were left with empty drinks for a long time, and once we had our main we were just left, not offered any desert, or even a bill, and there was no-one around to ask. This led to us leaving the dining room to find there was also no-one on the bar. Not to worry we think, as we can settle up when we check out, which we did, after feeling told off at breakfast. An unfortunate series of minor inconveniences that sadly made our whole stay feel a bit awkward.
Shower did not work but bath was OK. Narrow time band for breakfast.
Receptionist was friendly and helpful without being over-the-top . Very good
evening meal-all day breakfast was almost inedible and had obviously been sitting all day since breakfast
Location easy to find, good night sleep very quiet.
The English of some of the staff was difficult to understand. Although the overall service was good.
The friendly welcome in the hotel and restaurant, even late at night.
