No wi-fi in room, had to go into bar area
Evening meal poor standard. Worst sausage I have ever tasted for breakfast.
The free WiFi, the staff were very friendly and the fact that we didn't have to walk far too our room was a plus!!
We had no issues at all.
Bar and Kitchen staff were attentive
The TV in our room did not work The shower was cold
The lady that checked us in was polite apart from that not much else.
My partner and I stayed as a one night stop off we had booked on booking.com and arrived at the hotel at 9.30pm, when arriving we was told booking.com wasn't working and they were unable to take my payment so we had to do it all again. After being handed the keys and told where I room was we settled in. I went to use the toilet the bathroom floor was really slippery I nearly fell, when having a shower I noticed the shower head was covered in scale, the soap dish was so rusty. After finding this we got into bed the bed slid away from the wall as soon as you sat on it and wallpaper behind the bed was hanging off, then the heating kicked it and the whole night made and awful noise that kept us awake. In the morning I opened the draw to where the hairdryer was only to find a massive coffee stain stuck to the draw. As being a housekeeping manager myself I took pictures of the room as I was roughly disappointed with me stay and wouldn't expect this at any hotel. I wouldn't recommend to anyone it was a very uncomfortable and somewhat dirty stay for my partner and I.
staff were friendly
bed was hard pillows far to soft room dirty lots of dust every where lack of condiments
Staff very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast Quiet location.
A bit too hot for us as heat was on all night and we couldnt switch it off.
Staff very friendly. Good location
Hotel had a general air of having seen better days. The heating system had an interesting way of emitting loud 'clanging' noises at various times in the night
The staff were incredibly polite and customer service was clearly a priority... They were lovely and supportive at stashing and presenting the surprise birthday cake for me, and looking after it in their fridge on our behalf for the remainder of our weekend stay
The images on booking.com did the hotel no justice, as I had half expected a slightly faulty towers hotel, however I was extremely delighted at how much better it was and larger and more established than I had been expecting
Staff very friendly Bed linen fresh and clean
Would of been nice to see some fruit at breakfast and maybe a choice of scrambled or fried eggs
Staff very helpful couldn't fault anything you get what you pay for. Thank you all.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, I felt right at home!
Size of room and comfortable bed. Got the room at a great rate. Pleasant staff.
After waiting 30 minutes for an inedible starter I left the restaurant that evening and went to a fish and chip shop. The cooked breakfast food is poorly presented - a pile of sloppy eggs on a plate, dried black pudding almost curling at the edges shows a total lack of care and effort.
Hotel was fine, bit tired, decent size room, but was clean. Wi fi was fine
Bed was a bit hard (for me) Breackfast was only ok (cheap brown sauce my pet hate) Shower was poor (hot but weak flow)
Spacious room, friendly staff
Wifi very poor, cooked breakfast congealed and very unappealing
Staff were very friendly. Easy access for Motoway
No lift and I had heavy bags to take to the 2nd floor. I arrived just before 9 and the kitchen was closed. No where in the area to have a meal either.
Food was excellent Very nice stay Bar and rest staff 100% good job guys..
Rec Staff need to be a bit more friendly.
Nice old hotel, was fine for the reduced price we paid but would definitely not be worth the normal tariff of £120.00. a night for a double room
Arrived at 3.30 but could not get a sandwich or coffee. The breakfast although contained everything it should have for a full English was cooked really badly and could not eat it. Need a decent breakfast chef. Based on this would not try the restaurant.
Breakfast very good.
Very convienant for our purpose of staying Kent, the family room was a good size
Breakfast finishing at 9am during the week days
the fact that there was good parking space, an entrance drive that could be dressed up a bit better to encourage more clientele. Staff all helpful, bar, room and restaurant all very pleasant.
reception area not right, needs to be located in a more central position. The entrance drive needs to be made more attractive to the eye, instead of its tired look at present.
Spacious room with ample space to accommodate clothing.
The room was clean and the staff did the best to solve problems that were unfortunately a lot bigger than they could handle.
Me and my partner stayed here on New Years eve thinking it would make a nice change to get out of the house and it was a bit nearer to Maidstone (where we were going back to) so was easier to get back to than ours. We have now come to regret this decision as it nearly ruined our night, and wished we'd have spent a bit more on a taxi rather than wasting it at this hotel. We checked in at about 5:30 hoping to get ready and leave to go to a restaurant for our meal for which we had a table booked at 7:30. I tried to take a shower almost straight away, but it was lukewarm and it was too cold in the room to tolerate a lukewarm shower as well. I tried to ring reception but the phone wasn't working, so I had to use my own phone. The receptionist told me to give it five minutes to warm up which didn't work. So ten minutes later I rang again, and she told me the maintenance man would come and have a look, which I waited another ten minutes for. He then left saying it was a problem with the pump or something like that. The receptionist then rang five minutes later and said in another five minutes it would be warm. After another five minutes of course it was still cold. My partner then went downstairs and eventually we were moved to another room. I will admit that it was superior room and we were only charged the same amount, which was some compensation, but this room was even colder than the previous one, and I can't believe that some unfortunate people have probably paid a lot of money to be froze to near death in that room. By the time we had faffed around moving rooms we had about 45 minutes for myself and my partner to get showered and ready and get to Maidstone. This got our evening off to a very stressful start, I didn't have enough time to get ready and we almost lost our booking at the restaurant.
Distance from the town, double bed was two singles put together & breakfast wasn't top of the range (but not complaining that much)
