The hotel staff were friendly and most helpful. Rooms were clean. Hotel was about 15/20 minute walk from Newcastle and The Sage. There were no ceiling lights in the room, this tended to make the room rather dark. On checking in to the hotel we were told breakfast would be served until 10am, on the Monday breakfast stopped at 9am, if 1 of our party had not gone to breakfast early none of us would have had breakfast on the Monday. |

Good views of City and central to areas that we required plus secure parking and good food. Friendly staff in restaurant and good service. Only one lift working and swim pool appeared empty. |

the staff were very good, parking was safe, food was acceptable for cost, and the location for the event was excellent The general appearance externally and inrenally could be much better, the spa and gym are not welcoming at the present time therefore it appearded very little use. |

Hotel in poor state of repair and in much need of updating. No swimming pool as stated at time of booking, one lift out of action for my entire stay which caused some delay at busy times. |

Was disapointed that the earliest dinner reservation was 6.30pm. To late if you are going to a show in Town |

The whole hotel gives an impression of neglect....One lift out of order...TV in room wouldn't pick up channels...lever for opening window broken and window jammed shut..........................Breakfast used the cheapest ingredients(sausage tastes like it's made of cardboard)........ |

Although the staff were helpful + pleasant, service/facilities were very poor. Lift not working so all guests had to carry bags up and down fire escape. Only one bath towel in room shared by 2 adults + one infant. Window locks were jammed so room became very hot + stuffy. |

The friendliness of the staff, nothing was to much trouble. we had a problem when we arrived the hotel had us booked for B&B for 1 night we were actually DB&B for three nights. the receptionist was superb in the way she handled the situation One lift out of order, and on one occasion both lifts out of order for a short time. we were on the fifth floor, and are all 60 plus |

Excellent english breakfast each morning Tv in my room (406) only picked up Sky news...not a problem to me as I was out from 7.30am until 10.30pm but would have been frustrating if I had been in more. |

Hotel staff especially Gladys on reception were excellent. In great need of repair as although rooms were spotlessly clean they are emely shabby and worn. wall paper peeling off all over the place. walls are too thin and had to listen to a couple having noisy sex next door all night long. |

Convenience for the Sage and parking facilities. Only hotel to allow one night stays in Gateshead at the weekend. The bed was unconfortable and the bedrooms were far too hot. Breakfast was only passable. |

We liked our room which was airy and comfortable. There was a good selection at breakfast and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful The secure parking did not appear to be very secure at all, so we parked on the street. Also the hotel needs investment in terms of the public areas which are rather tired and dated. We chose the hotel because it claimed to be a mile away from the Metro Radio Arena where we were attending a show, but when it came to it, it was considerably more than a mile! |

They had taken note of our requests and provided extra pillows & walk-in shower. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We left the car in the car-park and used our bus passes to great advantage! There was no bath-mat provided - I slipped getting out of the shower! |
