It is ideally situated near the town centre and was great value for money. I only used my room for getting changed and then sleeping after the function I had attended so it was great! Excellent value for money! |

The room was comfortable, the staff were mostly helpful and friendly. The decor is dated and shabby in places. The hotel could do with a makeover. |

checked in late but greeted with enthusiasm. Lots of hot water for bath and shower, huge 'grand' rooms nicely laid out, tea tray full, kettle HUGE! Not noisy car parking Ok slept well yes a couple of things, one of the beds was like a rock, general heating in the corridors was too much, lift too small, breakfast was really hit and miss, food ran out, no tables , staff not asking about tea or coffee til meal end. Long wait at checkout. |

Excellent evening meal. Quiet room. Trouser press. Unfortunately no time to use leisure spa this visit I was fine. My friend in a front bedroom could not sleep due to noise. I had room 303. Steps through door to that room were hazardous and I almost fell. first step is narrow, I was carrying luggage, I missed the first step. I really do think these steps need attention. |

It was a very relaxed atmosphere and the spa and staff in the spa were excellent. The barman was brusque to say the least and was the only negative thing about the whole stay. |

Warmth, Christmas tree, room, pool, jacuzzi. all-foreign staff; difficult to understand and make understood. Very bleak and humourless, though quite polite restaurantstaff.Dinner menu too limited, food uninteresting and expensive, though breakfast better. |

the pool facilities were marvellous - the location of the hotel was great. Staff were friendly. the restaurant food was not good. The room cleaners did not leave toilet paper or shower caps. The room was old and perhaps in need of renovation? |

The room was spacious with a king-sized bed and super spa bath. We had a great view and the location is unbeatable. Breakfast was very good and the pool deserted both times I went. Stayed over the weekend and had an undisturbed night sleep. Al staff were polite and helpful. The car parking is not sufficient. The staff at evening meal were very nice but they were'nt really on the ball. We were half board, having to pay extra for basic dishes on the set menu was poor. e.g £2.25 for sticky toffee pudding or £7.50 for steak Food ok though. |

The breakfast was lovely and some staff were very nice, the exterior of the hotel was lovely. The hotel needs to be refurbished as soon as possible, it lets the rooms down. |

The food - one of the best English breakfasts we have evr eaten - and we've travelled to quite a lot of European cities. The staff - helpful and accommodating and the ambience of the Hotel. Loved our stay and the location of the hotel was ideal. Used to caravan in countryside surrounding Harroagate and always wanted to stay at this hotel - wasn't disappointed. Room rather noisy - overlooking main road and possibly more soundrpoofing required. Also tea making facilities well hidden - we didn't discover tray until we were packing to leave. |

Its location to the conference centre was great There was no atmosphere in the main area, needs some background music, and desperatly needs a coat of paint. The room was clean, comfortable, and fairly good value. |

Very close to the town centre.clean and tidy with pleasant staff. They had a problem with the plumbing while I was there. but supplied free Tea and Coffee while it got sorted, and kept every one informed. a nice hotel. Car parking is a bit tight, but they do have an overspill car park at the back, but do not sign post it, so only those in the know use it. |

Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Decor of main rooms, whilst a little in need of some attention, gave an air of former grandure. It was unfortunate that a plumbing issue meant the spa facilities were unavailable. Also rooms need money spending to repair cracks in ceilings, damp patches etc and maybe to modernise in some areas |
