Room was old fashioned. In this day and age even a decent b & b has Freeview. When there is no entertainment in Hotel the tv is next best. Not here though with only 4 channels. My food was ok but my wife did not like hers. Lastly The bacon at breakfast looked as if it was boiled not grilled or fried

Tinto House is situated within it's own grounds surrounded by beautiful countryside. Great location for a relaxing short break but would benefit from spa/swimmimg pool and beauty therapy. i would visit again and also recommend to friends

the main foyer and lounge area were recently upgraded in a contemporary style and very nice. there were a number of seating areas we were staying for one night only as we were attending a family weddng 5 minutes away.i would not have stayed had our stay been for longer! the rooms shown on the web-page were lovely. they have done up 8 rooms so far. but , the rooms we had were not. the lighting was very poor. there were cracks in the walls and the wallpaper was peeling in places. they were very old fashioned and dated. the furniture was very old and could be kept if they room was done up appropriately. the bathrooms were in need of a complete overhaul.the cleanliness was poor too. there were areas which were just not cleaned at all. the wardrobes were full of spare duvets and pillows, so there was nowhere to hang your clothes! if we had been given the rooms on the web page it would have been value for money, however I think a reduced rate would be fair for the older rooms

Didn't like my room. Both room and bathroom very tired - both in urgent need of up-grading. Did not get value for money at all.

The hotel was in close proximity of the venue where I was attending a wedding. I feel the hotel is looking tired and in need of investment to improve the quality of the furnishings in the bedroom. The room and bathroom were very dated and in need of a refresh, £89 BB rate in my opinion is expensive for the standards offered by the hotel.

updated reception and bar area Very noisy at night, thin walls, mouldy bathmat, extremely outdated bathroom, dirty marks on the walls, lumps under the carpet, dribble of a shower, bad lighting, poor service at breakfast, vastly overpriced for the standard of accommodation
