The Swan Hotel combines centuries-old hospitality with the latest modern amenities. There are 16th-century beams, huge inglenook fireplaces and an arched courtyard. In Harleston, the Swan Hotel has an excellent carvery restaurant. There are function rooms at the Swan, and the hotel can cater for weddings and other large social events. Hotel Rooms: 14

Lovely old building with charm. Rooms could be cleaner. Bathroom sealent wants replacing. Noisey Maserator/pump in bedroom. electric shower would have been better. Old T.V. only 4 channels. Our breakfast wasn't very hot.

The room was large, very spacious and clean.Nice comfortable bed, furniture fitted in with the olde worlde style of the bed and breakfast. Good choice of quality food for the evening meal and reasonably priced. Staff very helpful in giving directions to the club I was going to. I was disappointed that the television in my room wasn't working, every channel I tried kept breaking up but I think that was due to the digital switchover which the hotel can do nothing about. Would like to have had freshly squeezed orange juice instead of the concentrated stuff at breakfast

All the people in this town and area were very nice and went to lots of work to make sure visiters had a great time. My room was very cold, no heat until I ask the third time and was then given an electric heater. My room was great after that.

The room was not cleaned or towels changed or bed made on the first day of our stay when we returned late at night. Quality of food is poor and service is slow. Reception is never manned and you have to look for a member of staff.

The room was comfortable and very clean, the staff were helpful and very friendly and easy to talk to, nothing was too much trouble, the food was plenty and tasty, we would definately stay there again, and recommend them to our family and friends. Not really a complaint, the room was very hot, and we were facing the main road so if we opened the window it was noisy, but we could not turn off the radiator

Quirkiness & log fire in the bar. We have stayed at this hotel several years ago & did feel generally that it had improved in many ways ie cleaniness & better furnishings., So would stay again. Hotel part was very cold bearing in mind that it was December, & there were a couple of items which need to be addressed to make this a very comfortable place to stay. (Room very cold when we arrived & had to ask twice for the heating to be switched on, radiator & fan in bathroom not working. Curtains at one window hanging off rail & one bulb in ceiling light not working).

Very friendly staff, nothing is too much for them. It's an old coach house so it is steeped in history with the old oak beams & wattle walls in places. Great breakfast included Muddy courtyard, means you tramp dirt into your accomodation.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Food good if of a pub nature. Good location. Very good value for money. A few problems about the room. Although dealt with by owner promptly. Tv remote didn't work nor did replacement. Room over hot and hard to adjust. Carpet a bit grubby in places.

The staff were so helpful and welcoming. The only thing I can think of is that it wasn't very clear where the hotel's car park was

The age of the building original beams, uneven floors etc In the centre of town, ample parking. Our bed was hard and uncomfortable, and we could not get the internet connection or tune the tv channels, however in my children's room in a twin room in the front of the building everything worked perfectly. We had booked the carvery sunday lunch, and were a little disappointed with the overall standard of the food.

Breakfast was freshly cooked. Broken light at top of stairs which was not repaired following request, even though there were notices on all staircases warning that the stairs were uneven. Reception was poorly manned, and on arrival it was difficult to check in. The atmosphere was unwelcoming. Hotel needed decorating. Very tiny TV with poor signal in room, and poorly maintained noisy extractor in bathroom.

Very nice old fashioned Hotel, and still privately owned, very nice bedroom with both bath and shower. Nicely stocked bar with good selection of real ales. Also situated in a charming small town. Would stay again.

Very nice room,.Comfortable. Attentive staff. Right in the centre of Harleston. There was not a great deal of choice on the breakfast menu and the ingredients in the Full English breakfast were not the of best quality. A shame because the food was well cooked and the service was very friendly. .

Service was very good. We were able to book in a little early as we were off to a wedding at the normal check in time. All the staff we came across were very helpful. Nothing major.
