Location is brilliant,nice friendly staff,just the job for our wedding near by,definitely stay again!

Very nice room with very clean and modern walk in shower and clean bathroom.

The Hotel was busy on the saturday night as a local held 70th birthday party .Meant everything sunday morning was hap hazard. Staff running around like headless chickens.

Everything excellent. Stopover for a family event. Would certainly stay at the hotel again. Situated in a small interesting town close to river and parks. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Breakfast was wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful. Dining room and shared areas well decorated and up-to-date.

Our room was a superior double. The room was clean with nice white sheets but the bed had blankets rather than a duvet, the throw was a drab brown and furniture was miss matched, the chintz curtains needed ironing and the bathroom was dated as was the room decor in general. I was treating my partner and I was disappointed. The photos on the web site gave a different impression!

Breakfast is excellent,as are the large shower cubicles.

Breakfast not cooked fresh even though we were the only guests. Very poor. Would have complained if staying longer. Tired décor.

Town centre location is ideal for my personal requirements with my business client located on the High St, good parking, old style traditional pub/hotel. friendly and helpful staff. Stayed before and like the place, but not my first choice.

Nothing to dislike

The staff were friendly ,the room comfortable and the breakfast good.

We arrived at 2:15pm on Sunday and were unable to get anything to eat . In the evening the restaurant was still not open though we got a snack in the bar.I would have thought that on a Snday the restaurant would have been open until at least 4pm. It was cold and snowy we needed something hot to eat but nothing was available.we would have preferred a duvet rather than blankets on the bed.

A very cosy welcoming hotel with good accessibility. Breakfast was excellent and the room very spacious and comfortable.

My room was lovely. Very clean, neatly designed, small and well- presented. Just what I wanted! Staff were friendly and sociable, the common areas are beautifully looked after and the cooked breakfast was very hang-over friendly.

The Wi-Fi is weak in certain areas of the hotel, which meant I had trouble accessing some work I needed to do during my stay. A small complaint, but it's an increasingly important thing in this day and age.

Staff were excellent. Food was excellent and very handy for my meetings in Milton Keynes. The hotel has great character.

Apart from when I first arrived and the room allocated had clearly been smoked in. I asked to be moved as I had also asked for a Bathroom with Bath. I was immediately moved to a room with a bath which did not smell of tobacco. I was then very happy without any fuss.

Working in the area, this seemed a good choice. Free (wired) internet very useful. Good evening meals and a nice breakfast. Close to the river and a local common - good for running. Fair price.

Window in room a little draughty

Breakfast was superb.

Room was dingy - up in the roof with only a tiny window. Have had much better rooms for a much lower price. Lift does not go up to 3rd floor
