The epitome of a first class English Country Hotel. We hope to return later in the year for a long weekend. My wife and I found nothing of which to complain.

We enjoyed the tranquility and rural location of the Swan Bibury. We are parents to four children and we felt very rested when we returned home. The suggested six mile walk was invigorating and a great challenge, we were able to see the very rural side to Bibury. The local pub, The Catherine Wheel was excellent, with great food and a wonderful atmosphere.

The bedroom (four poster bed) with huge bathroom and dressing room en suite was fantastic.. All necessary accessories/Molton Brown bath products provided in full size dispensers. Not a travel size in sight! Staff very nice and hotel in beautiful location. Very good pubs nearby.

It was pure prefection from the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even though the hotel was busy hosting a wedding. Ordered room service for breakfast which arrived promptly with everything we ordered and was hot! Our room was amazing - four poster bed with the biggest spa bath I had ever seen - although not cheap, worth every penny as the room was beautifully decorated and furnished - and spotless! Added touches like bathrobes and Moulton Brown toiletries just added to the feeling of being really spoiled. Finished our stay with a walk through Bibury on a beautiful, frosty Sunday morning and a glass of mulled wine in the Catherine Wheel (local pub)... As a couple just starting out, it was the perfect romantic stay, we simply couldn't have asked for more - it was everything we could have wished for! Will definitely be back - hopefully this time next year to celebrate our 1st anniversary! Thank you to everyone at The Swan

This was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we had stayed at the Swan for our wedding night 25 years ago. It was wonderful to come back to such a warm welcome, the staff really looked after us and made sure we had a very special time. Individual thanks to the chef who produced a perfect dinner and breakfast for us and even wrote a special message for us on the petit fours plate!

Everything was way way above average. Attentive service. Beautiful Rooms. Relaxing atmosphere. Our children were treated as guests rather then as nuisances. The Staff really went out of their way to help which is rare in England. Well done the team at the Swan.

It is the only place I have stayed that is exactly how it looks in the brochure. When you arrive the hotel does not look real it literally is a postcard picture and one Of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The superior room is truly amazing and the jacuzzi bath was fantastic. I never go to the same place twice but I am definitely returning to the swan.

We had a relaxing weekend. A beautiful hotel in a picturesque village. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the restaurant staff went out of their way to make our evening special. We will definately be returning and would recommend the hotel to friends.

The stay was part of a big birthday present with a 7 in it for my Wife. We were delighted with the rural location and not even a lamp post in sight and not a mobile phone signal for miles, heaven! In our bedroom a card was placed on a chair from "The team at The Swan" to wish my Wife a happy birthday and a little teddy which she loved. I would love to know what tablets the head waiter is on as he was dashing around without taking breath. A must visit hotel to switch off.

Fabulous setting beside the river, gorgeous historical building in delightful village. Spacious room, marble bathroom, friendly helpful staff, wonderful food and restaurant service, comfortable sitting room, bar, lounge and outdoor courtyard.Stayed two nights- would love to have stayed longer. Very poor mobile phone access (Vodafone). None in my room, only one bar outside hotel. Free wi fi access would have been good for iPad. Had to pay £6 for 90 minutes !!

Arrived at the hotel and felt yummy just by the look of it. English Quaint and the location was superb. We booked in and automatically got the room I had hoped for. Fabulous luxurious and so relaxing, read magazines, slept a lot, and enjoyed the pure pampering by the restaurant staff they were so hospitable. Loved every minute and would definately go back if only to read relax and have no interuptions. Loved it.

This is an excellent small hotel. The rooms are lovely, the location is beautiful, the food is very good indeed and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast doesn't start until 0730 so if you have an early departure that's problematic. They did promise to try to sort something as I had to leave at 0730 sharp, but nothing materialised. A small detail, but worth knowing.
