A warm welcome, helpful staff, super room and good food. We will certainly return.
Nothing to dislike.
The surrounding village is wonderful.
WiFi patchy, if you need it?
Great location and amazing dinner when we stayed.
Such a lovely setting... I felt like a princess in a fairytale. The hotel staff was so sweet and accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were YUM.
Parking was difficult until the day tourists left.
The staff were marvellous.
The facilities - one tiny sitting room otherwise had to sit in bar which was fine in the evening but not during the day. The price - absolutely ridiculous!
The staffs are very nice welcome and all facilitates are very fantastic. I thing I will back again if possible.
It's a lovely traditional coaching inn where we were made to feel welcome. It's a place to relax and there are excellent walks nearby.
Everything, from the friendly attentive staff to the lovely meals in the restaurant and high quality toiletries.
Beautiful location, we stayed on a room with a 4 poster bed it was very big & cosy. Thee bathroom was as big as the room.
On The Best Location Main tourist attractions Beautiful garden and colourful flower
The Swan hotel is in the best location in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswold. We had a room overlooking the bridge. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. When we return to Bibury (and we will) our first choice for accommodation will be the Swan.
The ambience service restaurant comfort very traditional and high quality
Front bedrooms haver a beautiful outlook but can be a bit noisy with traffic
Setting and a nicely apointed room
Been woken at 8am by a wind blower. This hotel is obviously, by its very venue, a leisure hotel. Having told reception following morning - no real apology...money off or voucher...just blase will let staff know. Does this help me the guest - no.
Furniture and bath room of my room was woundeful. Pub gave us beautiful plats with good taste and service.
The location, the building, the décor, the layout, the space, the comfort, the ambiance
The staff let the place down. The reception staff member was welcoming and helped with bags etc himself. The breakfast/ serving staff need some training on friendliness. They were putting so much effort into efficiency that breakfasting in particular became a procedure rather than an enjoyable start to the day. One girl said "well, the chef wont cook it if I don't take the order" - with a very sour face on. Lessons in smiling- but then, if you need a lesson- maybe its not the job for you......
The service,the log fires,location,food,decor,everything.
Overall we were pleased with our two nights stay at the Swan. The dinner we had although not in the superb category was enjoyable and we were impressed by the attentive staff. Indeed the one abiding memory we retain of the Swan is the friendly and helpful staff. The standard room we had was spacious and comfortable. My wife particularly liked the cuddly teddy bear that gazed at us on entering the room.
The only critical comment we have is the limited car parking space that is available for guests.
Fabulous hotel in the most picturesque location. Beautiful rooms with great toiletries and fully equipped rooms.
No or very little mobile network so Wifi could be improved if there is a need to communicate with the outside world.
The moment you entered the hotel you knew it was different. The familiar smell of wood smoke from open fires met you. When did you last see an open fire in a hotel? The hotel is a period building, so don't expect modern standards of fit and finish. A triumph of form and function this building is not, it is instead a sympathetic update of an original. If you are seeking good service you will in no way be disappointed, this hotel exceeds all of the 'large' five star hotels that I have experienced. Staff are friendly and engaging. In the Swan you will be treated as an individual, and not simply a target for 'upselling'. The Maitre'D was attentive and an huge asset to the restaurant and my wife and I received service that we've not experienced in years. Try the Swan, from our experiences of the hotel and staff you will not be disappointed
Having to leave!
Location, great staff, good food, relaxing atmosphere, good service. Will stay again.
Aslutely nothing to dislike
- spacious bedroom and bathroom; - housekeeping doing a sterling job, and turndown service a nice touch; - friendly reception staff; - good location, but...
- location also a bit of a curse with loads of tourists and coaches; - not the most comfortable of beds, it really needs a mattress topper; - breakfast only until 10 on a Sunday is just too mean; - as everything else in the area (it seems) it's pretty pricey.
A lovely warm friendly comfortable hotel, location is beautiful, a very enjoyable stay, looking forward to the next time
