small ensuite bathroom
lovely people and good bus connection to the city
plastic waterproof mattress cover
Very Friendly and polite owners. Easy to take a bus to City Center. Pretty quiet place.
We are used to have an own bathroom not shared. But we got used to it (flexibility). A bit difficult to take luggages to most upper floor.
The staff were very caring and helpful! Will defos go back! No bad points really
Very friendly hosts, din't miss the breakfast! Many thanks for the pleasant stay!
The staff are extremely helpful and full of practical advice about how to make the best of your time in Edinburgh. Guest House is clean as is the bed linen. Staff are flexible about leaving and entering the building (early/late) and looking after luggage Breakfast is hearty, and well cooked with an exotic spread of fresh fruit. Location is useful for visiting central Edinburgh
lovely fresh fruit platter with breakfast. information on tourist attractions and bus timetable/routes. bus stop just outside accomodation. easy walk to Ocean terminal.
Great hospitality and fabulous fresh breakfast. I'll stay again when I visit Edinburgh.
Nice taiwanese couple takes good care of you
Everything was quite OK
location away from the busy life, handy to buses
for the price we thought we would have got a good Scottish breakfast and at the front of the house the seagulls keep you awake at nite
The location was good and owners very helpful
Big Room and clean. Friendly and Helpful owners. Bus stops outside
Our room was the fist room as you walked into the Guest House, Everyone that enters walk past your room. The dining area is next to the room. The owner has a lovely dog. Problem is the dog barks when he gets exited and that is the entire day. Internet drops every time someone pays with Card for stay. It is a 40 walk to City center. I booked this property for the parking and no parking was available. Only space for two cars. The bed were rock hard and I asked for softer pillows and none were available. Breakfast was googd if you pay the additional 3 pounds
Proprietor very friendly and next to city bus route
Breakfast choice limited (only fruit & cereal. No refund option if cancelled. And payment taken 4 weeks in advance. Limited premises car parking.
The owners - very friendly. Good continental breakfast. The piano.
Rooms a bit on the cramped side.
Very helpful and charming people who always give the best service possible...)
Location, breakfast, friendly, helpful owners
Although the location is not easy for the first-timer to Edinburgh (it's a bus ride from Waverley Station), its earnest owners and cozy hospitality are enough to wow me over. The continental style breakfast is a refreshing change from the usual scottish breakfast or western style. Overall, its location is still nearer to Leith and the wharf area which boasts some nice pubs with great food and drinks. I would consider returning to the location when revisiting Edinburgh.
very nice staff willing to help with everything, excellent location, clean room with towels changed every day, etc.
hard to think about -- I like almost everything!
Convenience of transit system. Very easy to get to from B & B. Friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was good and nutritious.
Traffic noise outside window. Water could have been hotter.
The service was perfect.
Helpful friendly couple who run it . Excellent healthy breakfast .
Ideally located for walking into either Edinburgh or Ocean Terminal. Our hosts were very caring and concerned that we had an enjoyable stay with them.
Happy friendly knowledgeable staff.
I couldn't stay longer as I had to be somewhere else the next day!
The owners are very helpful. They provided me with where-to-go information in Edinburgh. Bus stop to city centre is just in front of Swan Lake. The location is within walking distance to Leith; we walked along very nice river bank to Leith. Just ask Sue how to get to the river bank.
The staff was really helpful and friendly, the toilet was well-equipped, and the broadband access, fast. The breakfast was also very generous and good in quality.
The mattresses are worn, so if you don't like extremely soft beds, you might have a hard time sleeping.
