Our room - more like a bed sitting room. Excellent breakfast. The peace and quiet of the Oxfordshire countryside. Conveniently situated for Blenheim Palace.
Fantastic breakfast, superb room. A must stay if in the Oxford area.
Lovely large room, comfy bed. Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming hostess. No shower, but shower head in bath so OK.
Slightly difficult to find in the dark!
The location is ideal for anyone wishing to visit Oxford and the surrounding area. This is a lovely place to stay in beautiful surroundings. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated as are the dining and lounge areas. Susan is a friendly and hospitable host.
everything the owner was very friendly and helpful excellent room, and bed although very old superb manor excellent breakfast
the rain and a little difficult to find especially by night
luxurous comfortable bed pretty room
need a car and good navigation system
Quirky blend of old and new in a beautiful traditional cottage. Tastfule welmaintained comfortable. Soft beds, good food. Walk in extensive grounds to river. Good food at pub in walking distance. Quiet and private.
Perfect place. Country retreat. Very English
The owner of the property was welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and spacious and well stocked with tea tray and bathroom requirements. There was a pleasant walk behind the property which took you to the Thames tow path.
Our sleep was disturbed on four occasions in the night by loud water hammer in the plumbing which necessitated getting up and turning on the cold water tap.
the location near the Thames and quite close to Oxfrd
The beds were old spring beds and actually squeaked as you moved, as well as being saggy. The room was badly laid out so the kettle etc had to be placed on the floor before you could watch the TV. We had access to a bathroom through an unoccupied double room (clearly the twin room I was in with my sister was more usually for children) - but I was grateful I wsa not in the double room - the bathroom light only went on with the bedroom light, and also the dividing wall between the bedroom and bathroom was only a half partition - highly unromantic!
Friendly, helpful host Clean and well serviced Very nice breakfasts Quiet location On a bus route to Oxford Near the Thames walkway
We loved our stay and Sue was the perfect host! We will definitely be back very soon
The Manor is wonderful and breakfast tasty.
Not well signposted and should get a credit card machine, paying for stay in cash is not convenient.
Everything about it. Location, history, facilities, staff, surroundings, etc
Couldn't stay longer
Owner Room Breakfast Bed House
It's an old farm where the owner, a kind lady, lives with the family. All details are perfectly taken care, and the house is furnished with taste. Excellent breakfast.
Not that close to Oxford
Lovely large bedroom with private bathroom next door (robe provided for trips between rooms). Great selection of tea / coffee in the room and fresh milk provided too. Very accommodating of our large dog with superb walks directly from the garden. Hand made fresh fruit salad and a good choice of cooked items for breakfast. Beautiful house in lovely surroundings. Excellent value for money. Thank you.
Any negatives would be nit picking and the owners don't deserve that!
- able to arrive late on arrangement - friendly, hospitable service - cleanliness - style of interior - our own breakfast room - beautiful views
- room was a bit too warm, but we were able to open a window - mattress a bit too soft for my liking (personal preference) - that we didn't have more time to explore this B&B and surroundings!
we had a friendly welcome into a clean and well appointed room. We had good parking outside, and the bus service to oxford was only fifty yards away; this was just what we wanted.
Lovely building, beutifully furnished, spotlessly clean freindly host. Excellent, fresh full breakfast. we would have loved to stay longer. Great walk from the house to the pub.
The house was immaculate and beautiful, very clean and a delicious breakfast was served,A* ! smoked salmon and the best scrambled egg, also lovely fresh fruit salad.
The single beds had sprung mattresses, which moved every time you turned over. But otherwise everything you could possibly want was in the rooms, again very tastefully decorated.
Our friends stayed here when they were touring the uk, they were really pleased I had booked it for them, they had a wonderful stay, they had a vintage car on a trailer and were able to park at swinford farm, this is one of the reason we chose it for them, but they were so thrilled with their stay, they didn't stop talking about it.
Charming house in countryside setting. near to thames.
