The house was immaculate and beautiful, very clean and a delicious breakfast was served,A* ! smoked salmon and the best scrambled egg, also lovely fresh fruit salad.

The single beds had sprung mattresses, which moved every time you turned over. But otherwise everything you could possibly want was in the rooms, again very tastefully decorated.

Comfortable bed in large room. Very good breakfast. Friendly reception and helpful directions etc. Nice walking across to the river. Great for trips in to Oxford by park & ride.

Bath shower attachment not too good to use. Luggage pedestal would have been useful - cases had to be paced on floor for unpacking/packing.

Location Grounds Period features of property and rooms

Hard to identify property as notice on gate said private property and no signs for carpark or reception Owners rather formal for a b&b

Wondeful B&B! Cozy, in a beautiful environment, wondeful footpath to the pub, close to the river. Too good to be true...

Sue was a charming and obliging hostess and she prepared an excellent breakfast. The property is lovely, the room very satisfactory and the common areas inviting.

I drove by the entrance because the sign was not easy to see in the evening light. It is a constructive criticism, not a complaint.

Great location! Good gateway to the Cotswold and Oxford. Great value. Exceptional breakfast and accommodating host. Took a three hour walk along the Thames into Oxford for dinner, then took the bus back to Swinford Farm.

No shower in our room. Bath tub only, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I think other rooms have showers.

Quaint and quiet. Meeting some other interesting foreign guests

Would have liked a bath rather than a shower

Location is beautiful, lovely gardens, a pool if you're keen to "dip". Rooms are stunning and the breakfast was yummy. The bus service to/from Oxford is excellent and there's a bus stop 1 minute walk. We took bikes and cycled along the Thames Path into Oxford on our 2nd day. It's a bit bumpy for bikes (through fields on some parts) but walking would be ideal. We would love to go back to Swinford Manor Farm.

    Nothing to dislike here!

Not a disappointment but something to keep well in mind: If you're over 5 ft 8", mind your head if you have the room on the attic.

Great experience in a rural setting. Lovely old farmhouse in the grand style. Our bedroom was large, tastefully decorated with a great bed. Excellent quality breakfast in a beautiful setting. Staff were welcoming and personable. Easy drive to Oxford or bus past the front gate. Farm access to walking track along the Thames.

Minor issues only! No shower in en suite - just a large bath - took a bit of getting used to. Cash payment required up front seemed a little strange.

Sue was an excellent hostess, the grounds were beautiful, felt very 'homely' and well-kept. Breakfast was excellent, extensive selection of food and drinks and all freshly made. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad and croissants.

Felt very overloaded with ornaments, trinkets on every surface. Obviously part of the ambience, and very beautiful, but worried about moving/breaking them, also furniture appeared very good quality, used leaflets in room to place drinks etc on so not to damage. Your info said hairdrier in bathroom but not one there. No shower and when turned hot tap on bath, whole thing came away and gushed hot water. Did tell Sue.

Nice old house with lots of antiques (if you like that sort of thing). Good breakfast. Grounds run down to river Thames - nice for strolls along the tow path.

You really need your own car if you are visiting Oxford. Not so much of interest in the immediate vicinity, apart from the river.
