The price and location were very good, it is only 10 mins walk from kings cross station, the rooms had been done out since last time I stayed there, The staff were very courtious, the rooms were small and compact and had a good size tv for the room which had freeview on the tv, although the rooms were small and compact they were en suite. The room was compact and small, ok for me, may be too small for others, the shower was weak, it appeared that they were brand new and there were some gremlins in how they operated

Nice powerful shower and the room was very clean. The room was very small and it was very old with the walls needing some new plaster in places. only 1 flat pillow each and a very thin duvet.

Location Very shabby hotel not even a bedside light shutters instead of windows didn't stay long enough to have breakfast so can't comment on that. Front of house could barely muster enough energy to speak although he did arrange an early morning call. We will not be back.

Close to city centre. When we checked in, we were first told the booking was not valid. Eventually they advised they had our name. No airconditioning in the room. A baby fan did not do the job!

The staff were helpful and courteous, both on the phone and in person. The hotel is easy walking distance from Kings Cross Station. The room was very shabby and not very clean. The walls were thin and consequently sleep was hard to come by. Overall it was about the standard I would expect of a hostel rather than a hotel.

The room and ensuite was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was more than adequate. Due to the price, I was not expecting the Ritz and the hotel perfectly suited my needs. I've certainly stayed in a lot worse places. The reception area and public areas I feel let the hotel down a bit. It felt more like picking up a parcel from the sorting office than booking into a hotel. There was some noise from traffic but then what can you expect in central London? It didn't stop me sleeping and I am a light sleeper.

The room was bigger than expected. The hospitality tray was well stocked. The room was very clean. The location was excellent, about 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross station. The continental breakfast was ok, there was a choice of croissants, bread cakes, ham, cheese, cereal, juice. You also got toast & tea or coffee. 24 hour reception which allowed late check in. The double bed as small & uncomfortable. The pillows were so thin & soft that they became none existent when you lay on them. The room was very hot & stuffy. When we asked if the heating could be turned down/off we were told that the radiator had a switch on it. I eventually found this behind the bedside cabinet but it still took ages for the heating to go off. The shower was difficult to get to the correct temperature. The window was a sliding window so it would not stay open very well. There was only a blind at the window, no curtain.

I had read the reviews previous to booking and numerous accounts of a rude owner. I thought maybe people just being a bit 'finicky' but this is complete true. We turned up and this older man was behind the counter. When I greeted him, there was no 'hello', just a open palmed hand put in my face (as if to say 'shut up') and then he answered the phone and walked away. He didn't even look at us. If he continues to work in that industry, he needs to learn some manners. We were certainly shocked! Finally attended by a nice little foreign man. The room is not worth the money we paid, at all. Very basic, no artwork on the walls, the beds were comfortable but the pillows were bad and the bedding much to be desired. The overall presentation of the room is like a dentist waiting room. Cold and uninviting. The breakfast was ok, nothing great. We will not be staying at this place again ( couldn't really call it a hotel) and certainly do not recommend it to anybody.

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
