The fact that it was so close to KingsX station therefore good for getting around. Although basic, it did have everything we needed for our stay. Staff were polite and friendly and breakfast was again basic but plentiful. Rather dingy and sound travelled through the floorboards.

I liked location and the staff it's very helpful. There is also free wireless and a good breakfast. You can't find a better deal for the price and location. I didn't like the fact that walls between rooms are thin. So I was waken up buy my neighbour's tv at 5 in the morning. I could hear to many noises from the hotel. Not from the street though which is really quiet (Swinton Street).

This is a big thumbs-up for the staff at Swinton - I'd actually checked out that morning, but they were kind enough to let me use a room after I finished the London marathon, so I could have a shower and recover. The room was small but had everything I needed. Super-clean, lovely shower, good tv. The traffic is noisy but this is central London! And the secondary glazing meant I got a good night's sleep anyway. For this price, the hotel cannot be faulted. Fantastic!

A short walk from two main stations. Plenty of affordable places to eat in the area. As we wanted a cooked breakfast we found a lovely bistro just around the corner. The bistro even made us a pack up for the day. Was ideal for our short weekend. Bed linen clean and bed comfortable. Although en-suite was very small it met our needs with shower gel, soap and shampoo. Tea, coffee and biscuits most welcome. Would stay here again. Decor a little shabby. Never saw the same person on reception and occasionally not in a uniform so weren't sure who they were. Could not secure our door when in residence so anyone with a key could enter at any time. This happened once, they did knock but did not give time for us to answer. However, were just renewing supplies of tea, coffee etc.

Very near to the train station of St. Pancras and wifi connection was very fast and reliable. The bathroom is too small to people taller than 1,80m.

The Swinton is relatively cheap and usefully located near Kings Cross and Euston. The rooms are reasonably clean and comfortable. Coffee and tea making facilities are generous compared with more expensive London hotels. A problem with a tap in my bathroom was fixed promptly and I had a good, quiet night's sleep there. Staff could have been a bit friendlier on arrival. Although fairly comfortable, the rooms looked a bit tatty and could have done with a lick of paint in places.

It was close to St. Pancras International and slightly cheaper than the bigger chains nearby. access with a buggy was difficult. When our daughter was ill in the night, the staff were unconcerned and unable to provide any help I.e. Clean towels or sheets, washing facilities. The continental breakfast was continental, but the bread/ croissant options were stale. Building work was ongoing throughout our stay, and while the builders were extremely helpful in lifting the buggy up and down stairs, the noise was extremely intrusive til quite late in the afternoon and early in the morning. Access to our basement family room was nigh on impossible while carrying bags/ chilidren, not helped by the lack of a lift.

Within 5 min walk of Kings Cross station. Rooms compact/comfortable/tidy. Shower room compact/usable. Go down early if you want the breakfast, does get busy. Cases on departure day can be left but only after 10am or left in room for the staff to move. Swinton road is busy all night as probably most street in London are, take ear plugs.

It was near the railway station as expected. The concierge was willing to accommodate to our breakfast time. The availability of television and hairdryer. Breakfast was simple, but good. The staircase is too small. The room's vibe is unwelcoming perhaps because it is too simple or undecorated. The light in the toilet did not work, we had to make do with torch light. The price is a little too much for what we received.

Is within easy walking distance of Kings Cross Station. The room was in poor condition, with marks on the carpet, lamps pushed down the sides of draws. Signs were hanging upside down, and the bed was pretty uncomfy with only a thin single pillow each. The brekfast is poor with little space to move in the area. Little personal touches were made to make you feel more welcome, It is pretty much a hotel owned by foreign people, for foreign people on weekend breaks, or that is how we were made to feel

“Bed was clean and comfortable, liked being able to open window. Tea and coffee supplied, -appreciated. Breakfast good, except only one toaster and a queue of 4/5 people all the time to make their toast. Not good if you are catching a train etc.. Liked the fact there was a night receptionist, felt safer, and the receptionists were both very helpful..The location was great only a short walk to station, and the pub on the corner did a good meal at reasonable price.” Eva, Pembroke Dock |
