My wife likes a mirror near to a 13amp socket for hair dryer and tongs this is a common fault with many hotels. The showe in the Haworth room was very temperamental in temperature fluctuations, either very hot or cold with sudden changes.

Affordable luxury, delivering a 1st class service. The grounds, wildlife, scenery and the ponds all on site are outstanding. Great walks around the estate. The rooms were divine with luxury toiletries, the whole house and the staff offered indivdual attention to detail and we were made to feel special and valued. Loved every minute.

We stayed here for the one night on a Sunday deal with tea and breakfast included in the price. To say swinton park is grand just doesn't give it justice and even better the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was divine and the spa and rooms are fantastic. Although it was winter it was still as beautiful as I could ask for can't wait to return in summer.

Price of dinner being twice the price of lunch two weeks earlier yet the meal was exactly the same.

Swinton Park offers a unique experience, and feels almost as though one is staying in a stately home. It is a family owned hotel and as such provides an extra dimension over and above a typical 5 star hotel. The hotel is also set in magnificent countryside and is part of a 20,000acre estate where many country pursuits, shooting,fishing,horse riding etc can be enjoyed. Additionally many other activities can be pursued such as walking in the extensive grounds,cookery and falconry courses,spa facilities etc.and the surrounding unspoilt dales and moorland are exceptional. The staff who all appear to love their work are extremely professional and friendly and help to make ones stay a very relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Truly relaxing. Everything is provided - over wellies to dog towels, golf clubs, fishing rods...lots to do and see in and around the Hotel, amazing staff.

We have stayed at Swinton Park 3 times now for 3 different reasons.Our daughters' wedding,a quiet weekend break and lastly a birthday celebration weekend which included a family & friends birthday lunch. The hotel and staff have delivered everything we asked for on each occasion and we have come away smiling each time. The Spa, restaurant, rooms, grounds and attention to detail all round could not be faulted on any of our visits.We like Swinton Park and will be visiting it again. Children are made to feel very welcome and catered for superbly. All ages welcome.

There was nothing we disliked about Swinton Park , but so much we did like - which is why we will be returning.

victorian charm

The staff were excellent from the time we arrived until the time we left the hotel, the setting was perfect and I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who was thinking of heading off to Yorkshire. We would certainly visit again and it is already on our agenda to spend our anniversary there next year.

The hotel was pure luxury. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was out of this world. Our room had everything you could possibly want from a hotel room.. With more besides.. Beautiful. We paid extra for the birds of prey experience, where my husband flew a Harris hawk around the hotel grounds for an hour, this was a fantastic experience and would recommend anyone to do it. The hotel is set in the most picturesque grounds and is wonderful just to walk around ... I could go on all day about our trip... It was brilliant. Highly recommended .
