The hotel is immaculate. The food is outstanding and the staff were exceptional. The hotel stands out because of the attention to small detail that the staff pay to every aspect of your stay. The restaurant is superb. It is also an unbelievably quiet and peaceful location. My wife loved spending her 40th birthday there and wants to come back soon. Thank you to all the staff for a brilliant experience. Not applicable

It is just high class. Yes, it's a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Magnificent, spacious room and the food is just superb. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. A terrific stay and I will be going again

Everything. We took our granddaughter for her 7th birthday, all the staff at Swinton Park made this a very special for her; down to the miniature white fluffy dressing gown and slippers. A very big thank you to everyone at Swinton Park. Could not fault Swinton Park in anyway.

I thought the staff were all extremely welcoming and professional. The food was incredible and we particularily enjoyed the breakfast. There was a genuine desire to please and a feeling of true hospitality.Generous bottles of Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom and decanters of whisky and gin in the room.Gorgeous teddy bears to buy also which was an unexpected hazard!!Superb back massage from Nikita in spa at short notice. The background music is possibly unnecessary and I found our room Pickering to be rather small and dark.I would have preferred prettier furnishings .However, that is my only slight criticism

The staff were excellent. The surroundings superb and the room was nice. The food was also very nice. Lack of variation for the food menu as it was the same menu over our 3 night stay.

everything especially the very helpful staff The fact that you had to have a menu at £52.00 this was expensive & in my opinion not very good most disappointing. It would be so much better if there was also A LA CARTE .

The warm welcome and the chap who showed us to our room. It was nice that he showed us round the hotel and told a little of the history of the house, it was nice not to be simply dumped in the room. Oh and the complimentry whiskey... very nice! Special mention to the restaurant staff and kitchen who accomodated our request for a taster menu and a normal 3 course menu. This is not the done thing but they sorted this out for us.

The location. The food and service in the restaurant. The spa. One or two glitches, the most serious of which was the water going off without any warning for 10 minutes just before we left. The response when we mentioned these and other things on check-out was a rather off hand "Oh, sorry about that"

The staff were unusually efficient and keen to please. Whoever trains them is doing a great job. And it is a wonderful castle in magnificent countryside. Plus my dog was welcomed and it is an ideal place to take one.

Excellent service, location and room were lovely and we were made to feel very relaxed and welcome during our stay. A great jumping off point for exploring the Dales or York, or just relaxing in the hotel.

Spacious rooms, comfortable surroundings, great outdoor space, friendly staff. Expensive for what it is, serves instant porridge for breakfast but charges Michelin type prices for dinner and yet isn't a Michelin starred restaurant. Bar only has two dining tables, yet they advertise bar meals, the rest are coffee table level. The bar appears to be a ante-room for pre-dinner drinks for Samuels.

Beautiful location, spacious and well-appointed rooms with great views, beautiful walks, an enviable variety of things to do and fantastic food. I was travelling with my elderly Dad and there was enough to keep us both occupied. Small spa for private use is a great touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our only regret was that we couldn't stay for longer.

Wonderful country house hotel with great staff and scenic views. Grand rooms with lots of staff to serve food and drinks....feel like the lord of the manor for a weekend! Restaurant is very good although portions are small - the bar menu is very good though! Spa is ok but not the best

The hotel was exactly as expected, a luxury country hotel. It was like being a guest at Downtown in the drama series. It was not stuffy but you felt like a special guest. We were in the Ripon room which looked over what looked like a river but was in fact a lake.Apparently it is one of the smallest room but the view was terrific. Large choice for breakfast in a fabulous dining room. We did not stay for evening meal as too expensive but drove into marsham and ate at the white bear, Kings head and the Bay horse. Put off by cost of evening meal but was not a problem as plenty of eating places in marsham
