We had a very good stay in Swiss Cottage Hotel. Position was really good, just 10 minutes from Westminster underground station. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. I reccomend this structure.

It had a feel of old fashioned service and style. Very large room and quiet location. Only noise was chirping of birds in the street. No hot water for morning shower but that wasn't the Hotels fault as there had been a power cut and it was being sorted

We appreciated the great location, the Victorian decor and the proximity of your hotel to superb restaurants. The staff was always pleasant, courteous, and always helpful. I would definitely stay at the Best Western Swiss Cottage again.

The Hotel was conveniently placed for what we needed to do. The hotel was characterful and it was easy to come and go as we pleased. The hotel was bordering on shabby. Our original room was small but comfortable - we were upgraded to a larger room when our hot water did not work. The second room was much better and we no longer could hear the creaking floor boards as they were in our new room! Unfortunately the staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming which we felt was unnecessary and irritating. We are unable to comment on the restaurant as we decided not to partake in breakfast which seemed rather an expensive "extra" on our room cost - this decision was based on the overall quality of the hotel and its ambiance.

Very clean. Convenient because the tube satation is only three mnutes' walk. We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Our room was twin beds and had a bathtub. We were happy with the bathtub. We stayed here four nights. On the third day, we didn't have a spare toilet paper. Just one roll toilet paper wasn't enough for two people.

Staff are excellent; if you need something, or you're not happy about something, just ask and, if they can, they will help/ fix it. Room was big, and airy, and the beds very comfitable. The area feels safe and so you don't worry about either yourself or your vehicle. Parking in the area is free after 18.30hrs when you are able to use the residents parking bays, but check parking signs, just to be sure. SC makes it affordable to stay in that part of London when everywhere else is so exhorbitant. First bedroom smelt of smoke so asked to be moved. Not a problem, done instantly, but the room should have that smoky smell. The new room was excellent, light and airy. Shower was an absolute loss; just a dribble. I was on the top floor, so maybe it was water pressure but something needs to be done about it. Only one light bulb working in the bathroom. I meant to mention these two things when leaving the hotel but was focussed on other things. The corridors are narrow, with twists and turns, so a bit of a maze, but that's because it's an older building not a modern build, and, to be honest, for me it adds to its character but I am aware others may not like it. I think I'm correct in saying that the entrance to the hotel is level one (the breakfast area is the ground floor). Be aware, the lift only goes to level 3, so if you're on level 4 you'll have to walk up a flight. To be honest, I needed the exercise so I walked up and down the stairs!

The Location & staff. The location was just perfect for what our needs were. The staff were also very helpful & extremely friendly. It was rather noisy outside the hotel & the problem was the room had the heating on, on max & it was 21 degrees & so we needed the windows open to try & cool off! That was also the reason I marked the comfort down as we struggled to sleep as it was so hot - as did other people we spoke to, But we wouldn't hesitate to use the hotel again.

In general the hotel fullfilled my expectations. The room had recently been painted with a type of paint containing organic solutions, wich ment that we had to let the window stay open 24h a day wich was pretty cold and noisy at night.

I love this place. After squeezing into tiny rooms with lumpy beds in another European country (which will remain anonymous), I got space, comfort and great service for the same price at The Swiss Cottage. It is the only London accommodation I will head for in future. 10/10!

Far better than I had expected for a London hotel at that room rate. I was really pleased - although I did get a double room for the price of a single. The hotel is old but very sympathetic and the lounge bar looked nice. I will stay again (but will see what a single room is like). Very good location and only a brief walk from the underground and bus stops, so great for west end and city connections. I did not try the breakfast. Creaky floorboards.

Very happy with my choice to stay here. Good sized double room at a reasonable cost, nice area, right next to the tube. This hotel is so close to the tube it makes visiting anywhere in the city very easy. A very nice and very reasonable hotel in a great location. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing bad to say.

This converted row house complex makes one feel like you are living in a little bit of London past. the single room was large onough for a single comfy bed, writing desk, large windows that open to fresh air and to hear the birds in the morning. Area is completely residential, no traffic noise, yet a short block to walk to theb Swiss Cottage Tube station. Prior to dparture I had purchased Best Western gift cards with my AirMiles cdredits and they used those without question. Breakfast, even at 7-8 BP was worth every penny, charming eating area which looks like it would open to a garden in the smmer. I like the concenience of starting off the day without having to search for a breakfast place. It is an old house, floors and stairs a bit creaky, old fashined european elevator...absolutely lovely...but the bathroom is immaculate and everything you need is there.Hairdryer, Coffee, tea, kettle etc in room. I would stay there in a heartbeat, compared to hotels, it is a great experience and good value. The elevator only goes to the third floor and you have to walk to the fourth floor rooms, short flight of stairs, do-able by almost anyone. Completely non-smoking hotel...but someone was smoking in a nearby room and it smelled in the hallway....but that has nothing to do with the hotel...just with rude inconsiderate travellers. When I mentioned it to recption when I departed they were of course, very apologetic...but what can they do unless they catch someone in-the-act..... my issue is with rude smokers not the hotel. I have found that the smokers are mostly from one particular European country just across the Channel from UK....but I won't mention the name...you will find out for yourself!

We chose the Best Western, Swiss Cottage for its proximity to the underground and because it was on the Jubilee line, the same lane as our son lives on. Nothing, we would certainly stay there again.
