the location and tranquilty surrounding the hotel, relaxing. the hosts were most accomodating and the food excellent.

Excellent location and food. Hospitality warm and just a little bit quirky. The house itself was lovely, a little worn but in a cozy comfortable way. Very much the relaxing, romantic, country break we needed. We would happily stay there again.

There wasn't anything really that we didn't like.

The room(its size and views). The bathroom. The pool and outdoor hot tub, (although the pool room needs a refurb. The breakfast was excellent ,the although we didmt use the restaurant.

The double bed was uncomfortable. It was 2 twin mattresses pushed together.

Location, location, location! What a fabulous location. It was clean and tidy and well presented. The staff where friendly (the 2 that we saw) but seemed to be a bit over-stretched at meal time. Unfortunately overall I would not recommend this place as our experience was not great. We had 2 lovely hill walks in the area though and the pool was nice afterwards. Had we slept well and not been uncomfortable due to the rock hard mattress (i like a firm mattress but this mattress needs replacing the springs went years ago!) and the noise I would have felt more positive about this place. We had come for a peaceful break away from the children and definitely didn't expect to be woken at 6.30 am by what sounded like a herd upstairs.

The room we had - very hard mattress (needs replacing), small poky room. Noise above us late at night and very early in the morning - we think the older part of the hotel may have been nicer. No shower that works properly. The only shower flooded mid-wash and I had to evacuate. When I told the staff member she said we have been aware of this problem for a long time! This left me wondering why there is no warning notice! The hot tub was only half full of water so we couldn't use it! The evening meal was very disappointing - my meat was just fat and there where NO vegetables - when we asked for veg they did not arrive until we had finished our food and they had been microwaved. The service was very slow and not worth the cost or the wait. However, on the plus side the breakfast was great and very filling. We where not asked at any point whether our food was okay!

Superb location and facilities. Very friendly staff (Hugh in particular). Excellent food and service. Would definitely visit again.

A later check out time on Sunday morning would have been helpful.

With an excellant host and staff great chef and beautiful setting this is an ideal hotel to relax and enjoy the welsh countryside.

Recommend to anyone and with 2 Adults and 2 dogs made all 4 of us welcome !

The rooms were not serviced daily and the breakfast service was poor.

Food in evening was excellent, drink reasonably priced, breakfast good, swimming pool excellent, good facilities, friendly staff

A little remote although we only stayed 1 night so ok, room could have been cleaner - a bit dusty

Needs extra attention in relation to cleanliness (cobwebs in the bathroom), windows neede cleaning and repainting.

What a charming place, bedroom was very spacious and all the staff were friendly and very efficient - We loved the indoor pool and gym! The gourmet food was to die for, locally sourced produce and different menu every night!!! This place is truly a gem and in such a beautiful part of the country, so glad we found it - we will definitely go back there and would highly recommend it to family and friends. Hugh and Diane were both courteous and very helpful.

Very friendly. Hugh was very attentive. Excellent food and I did not find it to expensive considering the quality. This guest house deserves to be on more peoples list. Thank you to all the staff.

A very pleasant House in a quiet,beautiful location,where it is so easy to relax in comfort.

Definately one of the best places weve stayed,hugh the owner could not be more helpful he was lovely and the lounges were so relaxing,fantastic place,swimming pool great and the hot tub with the views is a must,well worth the money,great for people who.like walking or just to get away to relax, food was lovely just a great stay all round

We were handed a dinner menu without prices - dinner was good but a bit expensive.

A well run hotel with owners and staff who have a passion for what they do. This is as far away from the sanatised, mass production bed- factories that normally passes for a hotel.

Food was absolutely excellent with good variety on the menu. Staff and service also very good . Beautiful location on the edge of Conwy

The owner Hugh and his staff made us very welcome. A home from home atmostphere . The chef was excellent offering a good range of courses,beautifully presented and delicious.

There were just one or two little items in our room which needed attention. Howver this would not stop us staying there in the future.
