We were warmly welcomed and offered advice on eating out, parking and directions. The food was good, room pleasantly warm and well equipped with everything we could need. I had a squeeky bed!

Owners were extremely accommodating, they also allowed us to take our dog along which was really helpful for us! Plus breakfast was amazing. Also, we paid for a small double but when we arrived there was the larger double available so they upgraded us to that without us having to pay extra, saved us £40! The bed was a bit lumpy and uncomfortable but that is all, otherwise the room was very pleasant

Very warm welcome from the owner. Room was excellent, booked a double room which had ample room. We were allowed to come and go as we pleased, its less than ten minute walk to town centre and five minutes to beach so ideal location. Best part is the breakfast, best full English I have ever eaten in a hotel - you order the night before and its all ready for you in the morning - no limit on what you can have. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit. No problem with parking either as you get given a permit for length of stay.

Just about everything, room spotless, staff friendly, food excellent, only downside was because of our late booking, we were allocated the room at the very top ( bathroom / sink etc., very small ) we are in our seventies and relevantly fit, I would think possibly other senior sitizens would have really struggled to climb the number of stairs. I would certainly recommend the Sylvern House ( I will book in advance on our next intended visit, and hopefully get a room on a much lower level ). Kind Regards Mr. C. Holmes Only the small bathroom at the very top of the house

Very genuine welcome to this excellent hotel just 2 minutes from the clifftop. Beautifully decorated with great style and all possible facilities. Hospitality is outstanding from the very good complimentary room tray to the superb and copious breakfast which is truly outstanding. The host is very helpful, kind and accommodating. Guests certainly get star treatment and Sylvern House definitely deserves a 5-star rating!

Only had a brief stay, but was made to feel really welcome by Richard from the moment I arrived. The room was also decorated nicely and the bed was really comfy. It's located just a short walk from the main town centre and very close to both the castle and the North bay seafront. The hotel itself is also really well maintained and the rooms are to a higher standard than I was expecting for the low price.

Richard & Vicki were friendly and welcoming. They cook a wonderful breakfast!! The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable, which is what our group wanted. They didn't even mind us coming in late!! They even let us but our 5 motor bikes in their back yard. The heating/hot water was a bit noisy when it came on and did wake us up.

The stay was very relaxing and the proprieter was friendly and easy going , the level of attention we recieved was perfect , we were free to come and go and were not interupted unless we needed to speak to anyone . The room we had was Pet friendly (as we requested ) it was lovely and clean and fit for purpose , no cream carpets to make us feel nervous about spoiling (our dog was right at home ). The Location was ideal for easy access to Town and Both Bays....... had lovely walks and stunning scenery within 2 mins walking distance . The food was excellent in choice quality, presentation and hygeine. We didnt have a view from the room ( we hadnt asked for one).
