It was near to where I wanted to go

The basic problem is the rundown nature of the hotel: it badly needs an upgrade. The staff were courteous enough; the atmosphere of the place was friendly. But the room was comfortless, with one upright chair, no desk and stained carpters - a feature of the hotel. It was permeated by a smell of frying. It is true that the price was modest - £76.00 - but a b and b at that price or lower is often better, and I regretted not finding one. You wll lose business if you dont upgrade.

Very friendly and the food was good. he romm was comfortable and warm.

The hotel requires a face lift.

The Craw's Nest is a lovely seaside hotel in the East Neuk of Fife,it was for a long time a family run hotel and the family built a wing in 1985 named after Eddie Clarke. This is the part of the hotel that we stayed in and the view from the window first thing is absolutely wonderful. You can see the waves crashing on the harbour walls and the sun rising over the sea.The staff were very helpful and were very happy to still serve us breakfast even though we turned up on the 10 A.M. Sunday when breakfast hours are 8 to 10.The cost of our twin room was so low at £70 including breakfast. We paid £80 as it was worth more.

The decor has not been updated which I feel would not be appreciated by any new guests. It is unfortunate as woodchip wallpaper even freshened with white paint still is very eighties and dated.

The food is good but the rooms are so small and tired. Nothing has been done for years. Better rooms in Premier & Travel Lodge.

Good breakfasts, friendly feel.

Our room was above the function suite.. No soundproofing...very loud music...fortunately finished at 8pm...never stay overnight in a room above function suite.

We were at the Craws Nest as we had celebrated our honeymoon, silver wedding and now our ruby wedding there - we have very happy memories of this hotel. The staff very very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellant.

Our stay at Sumphony Craw's Nest was most enjoyable. The staff was excellent and the location was perfect. Our room overlooked the sea which was so relaxing. Will definitely book there again!

Nice location in a beautiful village with a harbour.

We had a twin room which was very small. The food was not the best. Do not have the roast beef - It was fatty, the stuffing was salty and fat, the gravy was fatty and the yorkshire puddings were like suet with fat in it! The hotel is very dated. We are builders and used to roughing it but even we need a little comfort!
