Tailors Hall Hotel

The hotel was clean and the food was very good and we also enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

Great location, within short walking distance of main attractions, restaurants, bars, shops etc. Good atmospshere, Hotel staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, on the small side but ample for 2 people. Would stay there again on a visit to Edinburgh.

Luckily we stayed at the rear of the hotel so noise wasnt a problem, be prepared for noise at night into the early hours if your room is located over the main courtyard, as the hotel has a busy bar open to non residents.

Very very noisy late at night/early morning on both nights!!! Difficult to sleep!!! Room was very small and hot - if window was open, could not sleep for the noise!

The Hotel is situated very close to the heart of Edinburgh and attached to a pleasent bar and beer garden. Live music was a welcomed surprise. Perfect for young to middle age couples/groups.

No, could have been slightly cheaper per night but acceptable due to location.

Felt more like a backpackers hostel than a hotel. We we're not expecting much after reading the reviews and I think we got exactly what we expected. Our room was beside a kitchen so we could smell food and grease. It was also quite noisy... but we slept and that's all we needed.

Nothing positive to say about this Hotel. We escaped the hotel after one night, although we paid for two.

The room was very dirty. The carpet was so horrible you would not want to walk around without shoes. We could hear the television and conversation of the rooms above and next to us. It might be a good thing for a hotel room to be dark, but this room felt like a dungeon. The beds were so hard, we might as well slept on the floor! I traveled a lot and seen dirty hotels, but I would not recommend anyone to go here.

It was very convenient for visiting our student daughter. The price was good. We were impressed how stylish it was for a very old building

No parking. The bed was too soft

I have stayed at Tailors Hall over 3 times and each stay has been comfortable. However, I have been misled on two occassions as to the parking facilities. Two different members of staff informed me that they would validate my parking and led me to believe that I would not have to pay for 24hrs worth of parking in an NCP car park. This was not the case.
