The location was good. It was close to the museum and quite close to the Edinburgh Castle. The hotel was a little too dark and a little too noisy. I took a very long time to look for the hotel and the staff answering my call was not very helpful. |

Nothing positive to say about this Hotel. We escaped the hotel after one night, although we paid for two. The room was very dirty. The carpet was so horrible you would not want to walk around without shoes. We could hear the television and conversation of the rooms above and next to us. It might be a good thing for a hotel room to be dark, but this room felt like a dungeon. The beds were so hard, we might as well slept on the floor! I traveled a lot and seen dirty hotels, but I would not recommend anyone to go here. |

The hotel receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful; I don;t ask too much from a hotel, but the staff are often the difference between a pleasent or not so pleasent stay! |

It was very convenient for visiting our student daughter. The price was good. We were impressed how stylish it was for a very old building No parking. The bed was too soft |

I have stayed at Tailors Hall over 3 times and each stay has been comfortable. However, I have been misled on two occassions as to the parking facilities. Two different members of staff informed me that they would validate my parking and led me to believe that I would not have to pay for 24hrs worth of parking in an NCP car park. This was not the case. |

Friendly, helpful staff. Central location. Our room was a bit shabby. The curtains were faded, there were holes in the walls where pictures had been taken down. There were doorknobs missing from the wardrobe and bathroom cabinet. These are little things, but it's the little things that make a difference. |

It was cheap for Edinburgh and very central. The breakfast wasn't very good- the sausage lay on my stomach for a while. There was also a loud "domestic" in the corridor at about 2am. |

Location was superb for seeing Edinburgh's day and night light. The hotel had more character and homely feel than places like travel inns etc. The three sisters bar had a good atmosphere. The fitted hair dryer was faulty, and a replacement one that had been put in the room also had a problem with it, this was easily rectified by staff and wouldn't have been a problem if a previous occupant of the room had reported it. |

After reading the reviews,we didnt have high expectations but for us we just wanted a place to put downs our heads for the 2nights we were there. But i have to say the room was immaculate and was way above our expectations. We were right over the three sisters pub but the noise didnt bother us.I would highly recommend it to students or anyone up for the nightlife there. |

I thought the atmosphere was horrible and the rooms dirty. Our first room had a hole in the wall and our second room was tiny and barely any room for our bags and the bathroom grungy and gross. It felt like hostel when I wanted a hotel. |

I liked the location, Edinburgh was very accessible from Tailors Hall. The beds (and pillows) need to be set out to pasture. They have seen better days. |
