The way we were treated. Horrible woman. Room frozen and damp. Mildew on the walls and something crawling on the floor , would not recommend this hotel if you could call it that a joke, also the hotel closes on a sunday you have to be out by 1030am.
Morning shower interrupted by incredibly rude hotel owner/manager(?) banging loudly on my door for five minutes, telling me I'd been in the shower too long, and asking me to leave the hotel. Unbelievable!
Price was good compared to others that were available at the time. Handily placed to nip in and out of Leeds. Receptionist had a lovely manner.
Attitude of owner was appalling. There is mould in the rooms. Heating for the whole hotel is set to switch off in the evening and not come back on again until just before the start of breakfast. Radiator in the bathroom had been switched off and had its thermostatic control removed. Looked to have been leaking. The website boasts that every room has a shower, this was not the case. Overall disappointing.
the location was very good and easy to get to
they need to put more than 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel into double room. they need to also put 2 teabags and 2 coffee sachets not 1 of each
The sheets were clean and the room was warm
The shower was very dirty. The toilet seat was loose and dangerous, the kettle and the remote control were grubby, as was the carpet and the drawers and the wardrobe shelves, the breakfast was sparse and lacking on choices, there was a general feeling of lack of care about guests comfort and enjoyment of the hotel
the staff was really nice, the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. the breakfast was simple, but more than sufficient for the price you pay here. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The people who run it. How close we were to Leeds. The noise from the road was kept at bay when the windows were closed. The breakfast was ok, although the croissants certainly didn't taste fresh.
(Room 1) The immediate smell of damp in our room. The shower didn't look like it had been cleaned for months. The shower head trickled with water, not like our electric shower at home. Cover on bed had a burn in it underneath.
Lovely friendly staff
The homely atmosphere was brilliant. Jean and her husband couldn't do enough to make my stay comfortable. Will definately return.
Well located for travelling to and from, room clean and tidy, wifi good, good value for money
Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Strict curfew for checking in meant our evening drinks were cut short. I asked about 2-3 weeks in advance if it would be possible to have soya milk with my breakfast and when I arrived was told there wasn't any. Hence no breakfast for me. My friend who could have breakfast said it was poor.
asked for more milk (was willing to pay) told NO heating didn't work so needed to get that sorted shower was only a trickle toilet paper not restocked - didnt feel could ask after the milk - and also i just wanted to do work in my room and not be running around getting stocks and asking for repairs
~The location was not bad and the staf were very nice and helpful.
The room smelled of damp, it was not very clean. Tiles loose in the bathroom and the drain cover in the shower was not fixed. The Duvet was so heavy I could hardly move and having only one thin pillow did not make for a good nights sleep. the very old TV did not work in the room and the sound of the TV in the lounge was so low it could not be increased! The breakfast is very basic
Friendly staff, spacious room, clean, breakfast included
Bed was very hard, the water pressure very poor
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Definitely worth a look if you want a budget hotel
On arrival I was immediately told that I could not have a takeaway in my room as this would make it smell. The only option available was to eat out.
The exterior look of the property
The lady at reception was rude. The room was freezing without exaggeration. Wifi didn't work. Too noisy as it sits above the motorway. Never had an experience like this one.
Great location ifyou have a car, between Leeds and Wakefield. Comfortable and single room was fair size. Car parking available.
Can only check in before 9pm. Decor and facilities a bit "tired".
The whole experience was a real pleasure, from the moment we met the owner, who could not have been more helpful to the comfort of the room.yes,it is an older hotel and yes it didn't offer more than the basics, but for the price we payed and the service we received we will definitely book again
Really nice hotel, very friendly staff and other guests, great location close to motorway. Very quiet and excellent for a business stay to get work done in the eve
Ignorance of my sisters disability, she is a wheel chair user dependent on oxygen and we were given the furthest room away from reception with 3 doors to struggle a wheel chair through, whilst the owners looked on, owners were not happy that my sister had to have oxygen delivered for the night despite being given two weeks notice, and when leaving we were told we would need to do something about the oxygen because they needed the room (despite being told it would be collected that day )
Excellent value for money. Friendly, but not overbearing staff.
Bathroom in room 9 could do with a spruce up - sink cracked, sink plug seems to have rusted & there are patches of mould around the shower cubicle.
The room it smelt damp & the bed was uncomfortable.
Friendly staff. Location quiet but close to leeds city centre. Free parking. Simple breakfast provided. Fine for the price.
Very run down could do with updating and refreshing. Crack in basin and knob missing on drawers. Kettle was dirty. Some stains on bedding.
Convenience for where I needed to be. Hotel I usually use was fully booked, this was an acceptable option.
My room was designed as a disabled room, the floor in the shower/toilet could do with a refurb. Otherwise no real dislikes.
42 pounds a night a free breakfast
dirty floor, cold rooms, next to M1
