nice location the entrance looked impressive the rooms are poor and need refurbishing and the carpet look worn - the hotel is tired and needs some investment - on ordering room service staff need training to be polite - possibly why tall trees is 3* could be 4* |

We were attending a 30th Birthday party which was excellent. Food was excellent. Had to pay as we checked in, the person who's party it was wanted to pay the bill for me but as we had already paid this was not possible. We did not get any sleep as it was so noisy in the corridor until 5.30am we had people shouting, banging doors running up and down the corridor. Our friends slept on the otherside and had taxi noise until 2.30am. No security around. |

Beautiful hotel, very nice rooms. Good reception staff. Generally very good but.... if I where in your position I would appreciate constructive feedback on all issues arising - please see 'dislikes' below. 1. There was only one bath towel. 2. My wife had bites from laying on top of the quilt - did not therefore use - requires washing? making it a little cold in the night (no spare blankets) 3. Nice view - cess pit! 4. Tea making facilities at floor level in cabinet. 5. Breakfast staff slovenly, unprofessional, slack, no bacon, no scrambled eggs - had to ask for these to be replenished (9.30 am). Waitress presentation and communication - diabolical. |

Very clean & well decorated. Good local friendly staff. Busy function rooms but did not impede on rooms area of hotel keeping it quiet. Lack of relaxation areas. |

design, architecture and facilities reception service was not encouraging. Wrong name, departure date and failure to present documentation correctly i.e asked to sign with other persons details crossed out. Shabby start followed by faulty electrical equipment in room, although quickly changed with courtesy by member of staff. Beds were uncomfortable due to 2 single beds joined together which converged in the middle. Poor experience. Would'nt return |

Didn't like it at all. The staff lacked knowledge and were rude. The hotel was generally tired and had a fusty smell in places. Over priced and definitely not good value for money. |

Good location and facilities. Friendly and efficient staff (contrary to the reviews on various websites). The one problem I did have which has been mentioned in other reviews is the reception of the tv . In my previous stay there was the same problem - some channels have intermitent ''blips'' every 15 seconds or so which make it impossible to watch . a tv engineer might be able to solve the problem and clear up one of the few criticisms left of the hotel ... The breakfast is a bit cheap and chearfull (cheap ingredients etc), but not bad for the price . |

The leisure facilities were excellent. Good sized Pool and well equiped gym. The Bar area was good as was the reception area. I did not like the Restaurant, I thought it was poor and small and like a canteen. A buffet breakfast is not what you expect for the cost. The rooms were also lacking in character, and reminded me of a travel lodge (twice the cost). Although the leisure facilities were good, having to give a £5 deposit for a towel was annoying. |

I had a late breakfast 0930 and it was probably the worst breakfast I have ever had: cold and dried out overcooked.Bar area was very shabby and there was a very musty smell in the corridor approach |

Reception looks good as you enter Grounds are in very poor order.The number of free TV channels is very poor.The pay TV channels are expensive.The buildings away from reception are scruffy and unkept. I have stayed at the Judges Hotel and for the same money it is infinitley better. |
