Tall Trees  

Very Big room, very Cheap room,very comfortable bed.

The windows were filthy.For a so called " Executive" room the furnishings were cheap and outdated and the bathroom in a poor state of repair. Staff very forgetful.

The gentleman who was front of house on my arrival was extremely friendly and very helpful. I was alone on the first night at the hotel and any questions I had were not too much trouble for him, he was very helpful.

The only problem I had was that the radiator would not turn down or off in my room, I was advised that the maintenance team had left for the weekend and was offered another room, however, I had settled in the room and chose to simply open the window instead. Little things like the shower curtain being dirty and general maintenance flaws could have put some people off.

The staff were really friendly and helpful ii was also really close to the club.

Drinks and food prices were very respectable, rooms were clean and tidy.

Reception area looks dated, public areas of the hotel could do with modernising.

The location was ideal for walking and is a great central point for the moors, countryside or city shopping and Yarm itself is lovely, although the hotel is a mile out of the town (there's a good taxi service though if you don't want to walk). The staff were very friendly and helpful in the hotel. They offered a variety of foods, either in the bar or restaurant, all of which was presented well and wasn't astronomically priced. All in all a good choice and met our needs perfectly.

The hotel is a little tired and musty but clean, and doesn't offer all the facilities shown on the website, ie., Swimming pool. The gym/spa is also closed, but some gym equipment is located in the hotel itself. Despite being told it was under refurbishment I got the impression that maybe business isn't as good as it used to be, but that wouldn't stop me staying again

Good location with clean rooms which were spacious. Beds comfortable and bathroom well equipped. Plenty of car parking and ease of access to all facilities on site.

Breakfast was very poor. The hot food was cold and the waitresses seemed more interested in chatting to each other than ensuring that tables were cleared and made ready for the next guests. Equally, guests had to find waitresses who were gathered outside chatting when the guests wanted something.

Very clean and presensentable,good service at reception desk, rooms were available slightly ahead of check in time. Taxis booked at reception were very reliable. The local town of yarm was ideal for a short stroll around the local shops if its a drinking break your looking for its ideal (more than a dozen public houses).for eating in the evening there is a good selection of restaurants available.

My satnav said I had arrived about a mile before I got there, had to ask for directions

The place is very tired, the food is terrible. Wifi is only available in the lobby where they pipe awful music through the speakers, which seems to be on a loop and a large pond smells like a swamp. They do have intranet cables in the rooms but none of my devices take them. I chose tall trees for the gym facilities which were probably good at some time in the nineties but due to a lack of maintanance are in a poor state of repair. I won't be staying again, there are far nicer places to stay in Yarm.

Tall trees was ideal for our weekend stay at Yarm. The staff were very friendly and let us book into our rooms 2 hours early due to our arrival time by train. The rooms were excellent we were very pleased and would definately recommend it

The location was good, breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly. Reception area was very nice.

Room had many cobwebs on ceiling, had to go and find somebody everytime we wanted a drink at the bar, doors slamming woke me constantly (could do with lining the doors to stop this), very hot throughout the hotel. Could do with just a touch up as it has great potential.
