Good size room with good facility of things like decent size fridge a bonus!
Although I asked for a quiet room and it stated soundproofed room on the advert it was anything but I'm afraid... The Venitian blinds ( no curtains) let every light through and throughout the night any car turning into the car park you had head lights in your room! The very busy road only slightly decreased at night and you can hear all the traffic so no restful sleep here at all. If the room is sound proofed the windows are not!! I also heard the toilet flushing in a nearby room. I felt like I was sleeping in a noisy packet of Opel fruits the decor is a very citrus shade of orange and lime ... But to be fair I'm hiring the room not buying it and it was clean enough ...
Privately owned. Staff listened to special requirements. Great sized room.
Decor a bit too much like a hostel and not a hotel of this quality.
Friendliness, made to feel really welcome
Polite friendly approach. Made to feel welcome. Ease of access
Over all friendly staff and not bad stay would come for the staff.
Very clean bright appearence Lady owner was fantastic..Great service / approach Breakfast was excellent
Colour scheme was bright cheerful and well thought it. Particularly liked having a fridge and microwave in the room
Nothing negative to say we enjoyed our nights stay
Fantastic Modern Look! Very Friendly Staff! All Necessary Essentials! Big TV! Great Breakfast! Just Brilliant!!!
Attentive friendly staff Comfortable clean accommodation Good inclusive continental+ breakfast Good parking
I booked for seven family members to attend the Funeral of our Sister in Law with the service being conducted in Barnton, The Lodge gave us all the facilities necessary to make sure we were rested after journeys from Scotland and Fareham and was within very close proximity to our family within Barnton. Excellent location and value for money. Continental breakfast with decent choice food sufficient for purpose. Would recommend and return if required.
Nothing springs to mind.
Location was good for us as we were travelling around. The owner actually works on reception so things get done if requested. She tried really hard to make us welcome. Good size room for the money
That whilst it is cheaper that a hotel and good value it doesn't have some of the usual facilities of a hotel ie pool, gym etc. As we were there after the clocks went back ie dark at 5pm we were back at Lodge earlier than normal and there is not much to do then other than watch telly.
Funky lime and orange decor. Friendly services.
Everything, but especially breakfast! Warm friendly welcome, excellent advise on where to get evening meal, nothing to much trouble. Attentive without being suffocating. Would strongly recommend.
There was nothing not to like.
Lovely and helpful staff. Clean and well decorated facilities.
I chose the Premium room, it is supposed to be the best. Actually it was a nice room, nice combination of colours and cool vintage elements (brand new though but with 70's style) such as the telephone and the lamps. Everything was very clean. The woman at the reception is extremely nice and friendly. Free parking in the hotel private area. WiFi worked perfectly.
location. It is in the midde of nowhere, 20-30 min. drive from Manchester and Liverpool airports. Not easy to find in the dark if your SatNav does not have the civic numbers. check-in only until 21.00
one of a few hotels where we could get 3 single beds in one large room
2 of us where happy with the breakfast but the 3rd member of our party wanted more than just backed beans for a cooked b'fast .and some wholemeal type cereal.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, rooms were large and nothing was too much trouble.
Friendly welcome. Porridge for breakfast. Large clean room.
Friendly, helpful staff and clean accommodation
The lodge is facing the road.
The lady on duty very kindly waited for us to arrive as we didn't make it for 9.30 due to traffic.
Didn't get a chance to try breakfast as we had to leave too early!
great, clean hotel where the staff couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was really good with a good choice of items. Our room was a decent size and we all had good sleeps, very handy for a filling station right next door.
no complaints at all
Friendliness of owners who tend to treat you more as a friend than a customer
Very friendly welcome. excellent breakfast with good choice and in spacious light breakfast room - not random tables in a corridor. Comfortable bed and large room. Even got biscuits with the tea and coffee in the room and real china cups!
The bathroom isn't high spec hotel style, which was fine - but could have done with a bit more surface around the sink for toothbrushes etc. Not a great problem and that's the only thing I can think to mention!
