Beds, shower, view, facilities, breakfast
The feeling you get as you walk in the pub makes you feel its a little rundown so the rooms are a pleasant surprise
Great staff & lovely setting ! Excellent food.
location and views comfortable room home cooked pub food and good breakfast guest beers and ciders helpful staff value for money
Nice Breakfast, lovely view from the conservatory. Nice strong powerful hot shower, with large room.
Advertised as 16:00 check in which could be inconvenient, however we rung when we made the booking and were allowed to get key earlier, and when we arrived at 12:00, the room was ready anyway, so we could get in early. This wasn't an issue for us however.
Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and room prices were excellent.
The dining room was a bit tired and could have done with redecorating and re vamping as well as the bar area.
peace and quiet. good food but very large portions, unless you like large meals, good value.
Booked all drinks and meals to my room. This seem to be a problem with their bar staff and entering onto their system.Looking at my bill on return to my home I found an extra drink had been put on my bill. So check your bill.
Very welcomeing staff
The owner, Roy and the staff were great, my room was clean and well stocked with coffee/tea/biscuits etc. Quality bedding and F/S TV. Nice pub, could be described as old fashioned or quaint, lovely beer. Fantastic view from the beer garden.
The cooked breakfast was very bland and a bit greasy, however on day 2 I had the ham & cheese 'continental' breakfast, which was lovely.
Glorious views. And if you want an unpretentious traditional English pub, this is the one. This was our 3rd visit- surely that says it all.
Location, food, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast
We had to go home on Saturday!
From the lovely welcome, stunning views and great food, to the crisp bedding and wonderful shower! All hotels should be like this, nice simple clean and lovely x
Whats NOT TO LIKE!
The room was clean and comfortable. A nice selection of beer in the bar and a fantastic view from the garden over the valley. We had a room with the car park view, which other people have commented on, so wasn't unexpected. For the price the accommodation is nice
1. We arrived late; 8-30 pm and were told at 9 that the kitchen was closed and there was no food. I have no problem with that; our fault for not asking when we arrived. However to then see the bar staff disappear into the kitchen and return with ice cream for their friends is rather annoying. 2. To go to pay the next morning and find we are being charged for other peoples food from the previous night is not on, especially considering item 1; check your bills carefully.
Location and facilities. Good value for money.
Not much room in the bar. Not an extensive menu but good wholesome food.
Food and great views and quiet rooms
No fan or airconditioner would have liked cake of soap instead of body wash
only stayed for one night and didn't spend a great deal of time in the hotel, however the room was comfortable and clean, the staff were courteous and helpful. would stay again if in the area.
The wonderful view, friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Meals were very enjoyable but large serves.
Room perfect, very contemporary. The rest of the hotel full of rustic charm. Food excellent good wine list. Staff and Owners extremely helpful. Good advice given on directions and places of interest. Also late night bar! Will book again next time we visit our daughter.
helpful and friendly staff. very good food well presented.
the rooms were modern, well appointed and a good size with great views.. The real ale selection was good, and the home cooked food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I like and accept the old world charm of the Inn, but felt the general presentation needed tidying up. Menu presentation and table set up did nothing to assist the well prepared food. Gaming machines too prominent for my liking.
Fabulous views, friendly and helpful staff good food.
Bar area could do with some TLC, updating without spoiling the ambiance.
Staff were very friendly and the food and accommodation was excellent. Great pub culture.
All was excellent
Nice place very friendly staff, really nice rooms
Didn't have the best of views from my room was looking at a big wooden shed
Bedrooms were very good and had wireless contact.
Bar - needs a good overhaul. Very old and smells of last nights stale beer. Not at all in keeping with the rooms. If they updated the eating area I might eat there but won't do until this changes.
Location. Wonderful views. Excellent comfortable, clean room. Good food. Ideal location for walking.
