the actual room was ok if a little dated
road noise standing outside in the morning waiting to check out When booking I asked for a quiet room. Seems this wasn't read. Woken 4 or 5 times during the night
Excellent location, the style, design and size of the room were superb. The staff were very helpful even though I didn't ask for help. (Directions into Oxford to miss traffic) All round great experience!
Very nice stay
Clean sheets, comfy bed and pillows, bathroom toiletries a plenty. Biscuits in room and big screen digital tv. Very spacious room.
Badly broken bath panel, all walls very badly marked and damaged, carpet well trodden and in need of replacing. General freshen up and maintenance required.
- restaurant food was great - all staff were very friendly
Large room and large bathroom Clean V Nice, polite and professional staff Good and speedy breakfast
Bathroom a little tired
Staff, food, quiet room, location (near Bicester).
Stains on the carpet and cracks in the bath side panel. Both things easy to fix and would finish things off nicely in an otherwise neat and tidy hotel.
Not being offered sauce or choice at breakfast. The breakfast was of a very high standard Please paint / redecorate the rooms.
staff excellent, restaurant served good food
The size of the rooms, beds and ensuite is fantastic. The function room and garden is lovely. Breakfast was very tasty too! Staff during the wedding were very attentive and very eager to do everything right on time.
Some staff made us feel a little unwelcome and especially rushed to finish breakfast and check out on our day of departure. Despite check out time being recorded as 11.30am at 10.30am we had staff knocking on the door asking if they could come in to clean. When we replied no were still packing she then responded by saying are you staying another night otherwise you only have 1 hour..... In addition to this the hotel was closed during the days of the weekend for a wedding which we were attending and another the following day. This meant we were unable to get a drink or snack from the bar throughout the day until the function started in the evening. When we asked for a cup of tea the member of staff became stressed and very reluctant as she needed to watch reception (despite the fact that she had been sitting on the phone making a personal for at least an hour!!).
Attitude of staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The size of the room was such that two could move around easily and there was plenty of wardrobe space. Breakfasts were good and the food in the restaurant at night was excellent. The location was quiet but within easy reach of main routes. The motel style of the hotel meant that you could park outside the "front door" to your room.
The extractor fan in the bathroom perhaps wasn't powerful enough. After showering the humidity in the bathroom remained high, as a consequence the towels didn't dry properly when hanging up. Perhaps they could have been replaced the next day.
good quiet location ,staff and rooms very good.will stay again when in the area.
Staff were friendly, breakfast very nice. Nice sized room but bed too hard but that can't be held against the tally ho as we all have our own preferences. Good tea making facilities. Good car parking.
Felt it was really overpriced at 180.00. Some mould in the tiles around the bath. Little bit difficult to find but again maybe that's just me! Would visit again if price was better
Good size room n quiet!
Nice staff, decent food, plenty of parking and good sized rooms and a quiet location
large, quiet motel type rooms set well back from the road
dining room and reception in separate building and not linked to bedrooms by covered walkway. Not good as it poured with rain on one of the days we were there and dinner was eaten in damp clothing!!
Loved the room no problems room26
Tv not working showerside ways spray no cup told I would be moved to another room manager never returned left after one night.room25 still charged
Suited two of fine. Had to order early breakfast, but that was fine. We got what we wanted early.
Staff were very friendly, good spacious room. Good parking.
The breakfast was not a great full English- could improve here! Very little atmosphere.
Well equipped rooms
Quiet, comfy night's sleep. Friendly, helpful staff. A bath in the room, makes a nice change from showers.
Nice big rooms. Friendly staff
Food is very good Rooms are large, clean and spacious
Isolated location - long way from town centre Wifi didn't work in room
All of it! Exact location for my business trip. Peace and quiet, cleanliness. Well-lit bathroom with extending and magnifying shaving mirror - you don't often see those! Room service swift and food piping hot, breakfast equally good. And finally - I know it's awful, dirty and will kill me, but I'm a smoker. Normally I have to traipse through corridors, down in the lift, through reception and stand outside to smoke. Then back up in the lift, conscious that I smell like an ashtray, and back to my room. Not at the Tally Ho! Simply open the door and walk outside - great. I really like the Tally Ho concept. It combines motel-type accomodation with high-quality hotel staff and standards. Should also say that I was greeted by name on arrival. Why? Because the hotel was full and I was the last to arrive. Good luck to the Tally Ho, there should be more of them.
Close to where I had to babysit. near the town but quiet and east to find
Walking in the rain but it is possible to park outside the front door.
