food staff location
The location was good near most attractions emma was friendly and room was comfortable enough for the cost!
It was very warm when we were there so had the window open but the neighbours next door were very noisy quite late at night which woke our 8 month old baby up on a number off occasions! And only one toilet which was shared as the one in the shower room was broken!
excellent value, good food & nice staff comfortable bed, spacious room.
Although this not the hotels fault the view outside the hotel of refuge bags across the road is off putting but you cant blame the hotel for other peoples untidyness
We were a family group of six and a small child. The rooms were clean and comfortable and Emma made us very welcome. She is a lovely girl, friendly and genuine with a bubbly personality. Her breakfasts are excellent and you can have a bacon sandwich ,egg on toast or full breakfast nothing is too much trouble. For location, fantastic breakfast, value for money and welcome you won,t get better anywhere. We all had a fantastic break and highly recommend the Tam o Shanter.
very happy with everything!
We felt the place was very homely. Lounge area was open as long as we wanted it. Owner very friendly and inviting.
The shower was on a different floor from us.
Overall everything was brilliant, everyone was welcoming and friendly. The staff went out of their way to help the guests, the breakfast was brilliant, couldn't eat enough of it. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very homly and warm. Would certainly recommend to a friend, and already have. Will be staying again in the future.
Good breakfast, amazing value for money and brilliant location close to the front and transport. Emma was extremely friendly and made us feel really comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for her, enjoyed our visit and would defiantly stay again here :)
bathrooms and shower weren't very clean
The home cooked breakfast was very nice.
The room was dated as was the toilet and bathroom.
The owner Emma is very welcoming and made our stay a very good one. Breaky was delicious and had everything we like. Room was clean and tidy and had hairdryer, iron/board & tv, also lots of plugs. Would defiantly stay here again.
No bar. But can take your own drink which did save us some money.
They convinced my husband to upgrade to a room at double the price. It was dirty, the towels smelt of damp and cigarettes, they did not make the bed, change the towels or replace the tea/coffee etc. The owner went out and left two children in charge.! They accepted a homeless family at midnight into the hotel
Really friendly family place, 1min walk from The Central Pier
