We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tan Dinas Counrty House. A beautiful, very comfy and cozy guest house just a short walk up the hill from the centre of the village. Fantastic views across the valley. A good hearty breakfast to set us up for our day's walking the hills and forests. We will definitely be returning.
Landlady who knows the area very well and was able to suggest a route through Snowdonia. House was very clean and breakfast was the best we've eaten at a B&B for a long time. We will be returning here.
A lovely sweet place to stay, very welcoming and helpful owners, very clean room, plenty of hot water through out the day (you would not believe this simple thing fails at some places) excellent breakfast cooked to perfection and with all the extras you require for a good start to the day. The surroundings are stunning and it's a joy having breakfast it those views. The village is a mere 5 min walk away and is a lovely place in itself. Will definetely be back one day.
The fact it was winter and I'd have loved to have seen this place in all its glory.
It was our first visit and we stayed for 3 nights but wish it could have been longer. John and Eileen were exceptional hosts. They gave us many excellent suggestions for places to visit as well as where to eat. The breakfasts were outstanding and the room for ourselves and our son was perfect. We can't see how it could have been better. We prefer to stay at B&Bs when we travel and this was one of the best. We hope to return.
Friendly and helpful owners who advised us on the best places to visit and how to make the most of our holiday. Excellent breakfasts with good choice. Convenient location .
Everything About the weekend was Amazing! The staff / owners couldn't be more helpful! There was a cake in the oven when we arrived and a pot of tea waiting for us! Maps were provided everywhere we went, such a delight!
Great location with lovely view from our room and very quiet. Friendly and informative host with good ideas for sightseeing. Excellent recommendations for dinner nearby. Good breakfast. Good to have fresh milk and small fridge in room. Lots of parking.
Very small bathroom.
Eileen, the location, surroundings, comfort of room, breakfast.

Leaving to go home Promise we will be back
The owners, the welcoming attitude, the lovely building and the beautiful environment
Everything about Tan Dinas reflected owners who were thoughtful and considerate of their guests. The breakfast choice and quality of food was excellent, and the bedrooms and guest areas clean and well equipped. The helpful advice provided by our hostess in finding our way around and ensuring we visited all the best places in the area was exceptional. The location is simply stunning. We have no hesitation in recommending this property and hope to return again.
Excellent hosts, who had a vast knowledge of the surrounding area. We were made to feel like part of a big family. We would highly recommend this B&B. Excellent facillities, the hosts even provided umbrellas and walking sticks. The surrounding countryside was stunning. We would definitely go back again
I would recommend this B&B as it was extremely comfortable with a great welcome from Eileen. If there was anything you needed to know she was on hand to tell you. The house is lovely with great views. We had a fantastic time and will be going back.
We just returned from a UK roadtrip and the Tan Dinas house was the best B&B. The owner is great, location perfect and the amenities top notch. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.
Such a gem - Eileen is the most fantastic host, nothing is too much trouble to make her guests feel welcome. The location of Tan Dinas is first-class, wonderfully quiet with fantastic views but only minutes into town. The B&B is spacious, warm, comfortable and clean with a great breakfast, thanks to John's culinary skills. Couldn't fault it, loved every minute!
This is NOT just a B and B. From the moment we entered the house we were treated royally. Tea, coffee and cake were provided and we enjoyed them in the comfortable visitor's lounge. There was help with contacting AA because we had some minor car trouble. The bedrooms were so clean, fresh and pretty. The beds were very comfortable. High quality refreshments awaited us in our bedrooms (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cookies and, to top it off, fresh milk in the little fridge.). Breakfast was superb. I chose the scrambled egg with smoked salmon both days. The menu included fresh fruit salad, hot or cold cereals, many choices of hot dishes, preserves, pure fruit juice and endless toast, tea and coffee. The grounds are breath taking. We (Canadians who love bird watching) were able to observe local birds, borrow field glasses and consult bird books. We were provided with copies of local tours that our hostess had put together, saving us a lot of time and driving. The owners have published a booklet with every piece of information anyone could want or need. There is also a brief history of their home and this is all presented with a wonderful sense of humour. We felt secure and truly well cared for. Tan Dinas is, without a doubt, the very best B and B we have ever visited, and we've visited a lot, in several countries.
The welcome and friendliness of the owners/staff. A great breakfast. High standards on everything we take for granted.
Having to leave.
Perfect hosts, a very warm welcome and beautifully cooked breakfasts. The setting is tranquil and the breathtaking views of North Wales a short drive or a satisfying walk away.
Location with a great view from the hill-top, cleanliness, friendly and extremely helpful owners. Very good breakfast using local ingredients. The place has a lot of character as it used to be a hunting lodge.
Eileen & John were the perfect hosts, Eileen front of house and john behind the scenes producing fresh hot imaginative cooked breakfasts. Our en-suite room was cleaned every day was very comfortable with amazing views over the forest and valley. Eileen was very knowledgable and organised itineraries complete with maps according to our choice 5 star ? It should be a 10
That we could not stay another week.
