Excellent food and leisure facility.Easy access to city centre and meadowhall. Our room 106 was next door to what appeared to be an office/staff room, so was quite noisy early in the morning.

It was a quality hotel at a reasonable price, the staff are a credit to the hotel and it is a comfortable stay. I will recommend the hotel to others and I will stay again in the near future. Only thing that I didn't like is the distance from the room to the reception. As it's an old manor house the rooms are atthe far end of the hotel.

We stayed over night as we were attending a Wedding celebration, so it was the perfect place to stay-we both commented on the politeness & friendliness of all the staff from the minute we arrived until we departed.

Well presented rooms Some of the dishes were still stained with what looked like old soup from the night before and not properly washed. Also some of the cups were chipped.

I wouldn't rate this as 4 star and I wouldn't stay there again Noisy room. Too many tables that were too close together in the dining room and the food didn't represent good value or quality

We liked the offer of an upgrade at £10 per night which gave us a larger room with complimentary mini bar and newspaper and bathrobes Disappointed in the usual buffet breakfast especially that you were expected to use saucers as sideplates for your toast Our room bin was not emptied. Directions in the car park were poor and also lighting between the paths

The building was very pretty Close to the peak district The spa was very poor. Staff unhelpful, ino one trained to carry out the treatments I requested. A 45 minute manicure took 12 mins. Over all the spa was extremely disappointing

considering the size of the hotel it was extremely quiet even though it was busy. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms not too warm. Leisure facilities were excellent and a pleasant bar serving light meals. We would use this hotel again and recommend it to friends. The markings on the few disabled spaces were worn and not as clearly visible as they could be. As a consequence they were abused and non disabled people parked in the spaces. The milk with the complimentary tea/coffee trays in the room was not milk at all but dreadful skimmed taste like milk rubbish.
