Tantara Country Hotel

Very friendly and helpful family service. The food was excellent with lots of it! Location was in the country but close to Pickering and other locations. Good for walks in the country.

Room was a little small but those in new section of the hotel were bigger and much better quality.

Becky and Lottié are lovely hosts. The food is brilliant the rooms clean and comfy. The location is spot on!

The Location flights of stairs

Two flights of stairs to carry a heavy suitcase up without assistance. Although the dining room is beautiful, the menu was poor (some items were unavailable) and the waitress had received little training. After ordering the meal we had to request the wine list, and on arrival at the table found the bottle unopened. The service was dreadful, and one of us received our meal 5minutes before the other. All this was mentioned on departure, however the lady seemed totally disinterested.

Just a suggestion that you might install a grab rail in the bathroom I found it difficult to step into the bath/shower with nothing to hold on to,

A mile off the main road but an oasis of calm surrounded by fields. Good centre for touring North Yorks Moors and coast. Dog friendly.

Becky was wonderful, the best front of house you could find. The hotel is clean homely relaxing in a beautiful setting. The food is amazing and presented perfectly. The dinning room is wonderful.The family are real animal lovers, which children will love. The location is perfect for Dalby forest. We cant wait to go back.

We liked the friendly atmosphere and we were made to feel welcome. The food on the night was really nice too.

Didnt like the two single matresses on a kingsize bed as made it a bit uncomfortable and the walls are a little thin and you can hear them in the room next door but not something that would stop me going again.

Friendly family, good food, very easy going. Good location for lots of intersting places to visit.

A little bit out of the village but the walk can do you good

Near Pickering, nice pet dogs in the reception. Nice breakfast and pleasant staff serving. Large public areas and bar.

Staff very helpful. We moved rooms as the internet signal in our original room wasn't great. This was no bother at all for the staff. Some rooms are better than others Food was pretty good (not michelin star but decent and reasonably priced). The location is nice and quiet and well located for the N York Moors. Rooms clean and nice touches with a half bottle of wine in the room etc. This is a family run establishment so feels like a B&B (a good one) Decor fine. All in all a reasonably good mid priced hotel/B&B

Sound proofing in rooms could be better.

location in the country side is amazing

the room are very small between each room is so thin you can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbour. There is no privacy at all!!! I was feeling really uncomfortable.. They should do something to make the room soundproofing.

The comfort and warmth (heat) of the hotel as it was a very, very cold weekend.

We loved our stay at Tantara, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The staff were really friendly. I normally do not say I would stay anywhere again as there are some many options available but I would go back to Tantara especially in the summer to sit in the gardens and have a nice drink on a summers evening.

A Hotel that does that little bit more, whilst being profesional and welcoming too a difficult mix to get right but they do. Friendly people and nothing is too much trouble for them to do if you ask. I will return and tell everyone I know to visit too.

Excellent throughout. Friendly staff and fantastic food. A nice welcoming feel and it felt like nothing you asked was too much from the staff. Recommended to another work collegue which has booked in for 2 weeks. A nice homely feel to the hotel rather than just another client staying.

Relaxed atmosphere good food friendly owners

This was a last minute booking as my birthday treat and to see friends in the area. We were made very welcome right from the start. The hotel is very clean with a modern feel. Although we were the only guests, we did not feel awkward as the owners treated us just like family and helped make our stay very special. Would not hesitate to return to Tantara when in the area again.
