Taplow House Hotel & Restaurant  

Dans un écrin de verdure, cet hôtel est typique des demeures bourgeoises anglaises. Authentique tout en étant cosy. La chambre était spacieuse avec une excellente literie. L'entrée et le plat du menu dinatoires étaient très bien réalisées et présentées; un petit bémol sur le dessert par rapport à la réputation du restaurant. Service courtois et prévenant. The location and grounds are great. Staff are polite and the rooms are always clean

I always seem to get a small room and although it's comfortable, I'd struggle to swing a cat in it.

Staff were excellent very helpful and made the stay very enjoyable. Assisted with our needs and requests with a smile and full understanding of our needs (we had a very young child). The room service and food also excellent.

Treated to a glass of champagne by the lounge fire because room was not quite ready. Staff were great!

Lots of stairs but no lifts. No problem for us but could be for less able people.

The new bar downstair, offered more space to have the bar meals, that are very nice and a little less formal. Rooms great as usual.

This was a great hotel in lovely surroundings with staff who were friendly and helpful whatever the request. It was fantastic value and was a lovely setting for a weekend break away with friends. Lots of character in the building and very welcoming and although grand a really relaxing place to stay.

Understandably because the hotel and grounds are so lovely there are weddings taking place at weekends. This did cause some delays to tables for breakfast and confusion about what areas were available for use by other non-wedding guests but staff were always on hand to help and were very friendly.

Pleasant reception and bar staff, nicely decorated rooms (ours had a nice view over the grounds), good powerful shower, well located for the Fat Duck restaurant, decent cooked breakfast.

Rooms are slightly on the small side but not really an issue for a short stay, waiter at breakfast was a bit surly.

The staff were fantastic. Very helpful. The hotel was in lovely grounds and therefore very peaceful. Rooms were very clean

One room was fantastic and spacious. The other room was very small.

Excellent location (Ascot week), good service and pleasant ambience

Hotel guests may feel a bit overshadowed by wedding guests

Warm and friendly

Paid for and booked a superior room........ This was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, smaller than a travelodge room. No mirror in the main room near a plug for hair plugs poorly placed. No space to move, desk too small to work on. If this is superior.... I would hate to see a normal double.... On check in I asked 3 times it is a big room I have paid for superior 3 times I checked and checked... Staff assured me it was a lovely room ha ha... It was not. Do not bother go to a cheaper hotel to get a bigger room. I did not bother with the food as I felt so cheated by the price of my cupboard I was trying to sleep in. Marks on walls,

We went to a wedding in the hotel and the food and service was first class.

The rooom has obviously not been used often and the dust sheet was not aired for a long time as quite a lot of dust was in the air as soon as the sheet was removed.The price of drinks was a bit excessive at four pounds for a small lager

Exceeded expectations with great grounds and very helpful and friendly staff.

Bathroom a bit on the small side and room too hot.

The room was very beutifull.views was good,food was good.

I cannot thank the staff enough, they were so helpful, one of the most outstanding so far. the room was ok, it was clean and everything worked. i would highly reccomend this hotel but do check first to see if they have a wedding or function on as it was very noisy.

Noisy because of wedding

think we were upgraded - room was a great size, well decorated and unlike virtually every other hotel I stay with to work, had great lighting so you could actually see! Breakfast excellent and afternoon tea on the terrace great.

The new bar in the cellar felt a bit cold and lonely but as its popularity builds Im sure it will work - would have been good to use some of that vast space for a fitness room though

部屋もロケーションもすばらしかったです。 今回はタプローコートへ行くのが目的だったので、そこへも徒歩１０分以内で行けました。英語が出来なかった- のですがスタッフは親切でレストランでも食事が満足に出来ました。

Both nights we stayed the hotel hosted wedding parties. The second,in particular, was a very noisy affair which went on late into the night - disco, banging, clattering, children running around the guset bedroom are.. Not to my liking.

Relaxing country manor hotel just a short distance from Heathrow with well appointed rooms and lovely grounds. Staff did well to book an alternative fine dining restaurant and pay for return transport as Berrys restaurant was not available.

I could have done with knowing the restaurant would be closed - especially as I was entertaining business partners and I had called to check arrangements a few days earlier.

Location and setting

Staff do not seem to be very customer focused which is disappointing as this is potentially a very good place to stay

Location. Quiet. Easy parking. Charming room. Clean

Nice quiet location, good gardens.

Friendly staff but a little disappointed with a few things i.e. when I went to make coffee in the room I discovered that the coffee pot had not been emptied or cleaned from the previous guests although it had been put back in the "service box" I informed a member of staff who took it away promptly. Not what I would have expected from a 4* hotel. Quite a noisy wedding party was staying there who made a lot of noise during the early hours of the morning though we could not really blame the hotel for that. Overall quite a nice hotel but we did feel we had stayed in better 4* accommodation.
