Great Staff Comfortable surroundings Good value for money great food (I ate in the bar)
the fact I'm not there now!
Checked in earlier as i requested, given upgraded room,as we were celebrating my friend`s birthday,Amy at the front desk was lovely and made all my requests possible and within time.Stunning garden view from the room, spacious room and the most comfortable bed i ever slept. Also 5***** dinning experience i couldn't have asked for more, we felt looked after. and due to the staff`s effort made my friend`s birthday celebration one to remember. WE are looking forward to come back in the near future. The best customer service we had and the most beautiful hotel full of character. Thank you and well done for your courtesy and professionalism
No alarm call & newspaper as booked
The comfort but also luxury of the hotel. I felt like a very special person there.
There was nothing to dislike.
Very helpful and friendly staff, especially at the front desk. Great breakfast options.
Cheaper rooms are a bit tired compared to the slightly more expensive ones.
Friendly, helpful staff and a pleasant building. Comfortable bed.
Getting out of the bath after shower was a little awkward.
Great location and friendly staff
Long wait to check out in the morning.
Location and settings were beautiful and the bedroom was nice.
the bathroom layout was not good. The shower screen opened so you couldn't get directly onto the bathmat.
small rooms were very disappointing
The food was lovely
maybe the room was a bit small
feels very much like a wedding 'venue' type place, nothing wrong with that, they run a tight ship. luxurious room and lovely bath and bathroom.
horrible to be woken at 8am with a large refuse collection truck parked literally below our window, slamming its mechanism back and forth and tumbling noisy glass etc for what seemed like ages. a real rude awakening. would have thought the entire front side of hotel was given the same unpleasant alarm call. not the best way to wake in a nice hotel, would have thought they would arrange a later pick up to avoid disturbing the guests :(
I used this hotel purely because of a low rate deal (would never afford std rates) it was brilliant, staff were great, room outstanding and whole experience was very positive
Nothing to fault
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was a function going on that we didn't know about so it was very noisy.
Great value for comfortable room and great setting!
Building & grounds; bar food service
This country house set in beautiful surroundings provided an opulent and luxuriously romantic stay for us. The room was lovely, staff friendly and the hotel itself is like a work of art with beautiful decor and furnishings complimenting it's Georgian orgins perfectly. Our meal in the restaurant was the highlight, with some delicious but very reasonably priced choices available on the 3 course menu. Would definitely come again to stay or even just for dinner.
The only criticism we could make is that the bed was a little hard but other than that- no dislikes.
Quality of food
Bar facilities, glasses etc poor No bed turndown facilities No help with porterage
Beautiful building and grounds. Good size bedroom and bathroom. Staff exceptionally helpful. Great location.
The stairs to the bedroom. We had to do 2 trips with our luggage.
Beautiful gardens, staff excellent - very helpful, room very good.
Breakfast not worth £18.50 EACH per day. Everything very expensive - be warned. Atmosphere a little clinical - prhaps best for conference/ business than holiday base.
Grounds were excellent
Toilet would not flush
The staff were brilliant especially reception and restaurant staff. The environment is good and very quiet.
The deluxe room was too small for £150 a night with no breakfast.
Location was close enough to Heathrow and to The Fat Duck restaurant which was the purpose of our visit. Lovely grounds, freindly staff and plenty of parking too.
We came down to the lounge for afternoon drinks and found it difficult to locate a waiter. We assume they are all through serving afternoon tea.
There is no lift. It is a bit too harsh when travelling with heavy luggage.
Quality of room Plug socket not working and loose. Cracked basin. Cleanliness of bathroom. Premier Inn provide much better value for a one night stay.
