I have only marked "Fair" for services/facilities as when we arrived, we found that the hotel chef had recently "jumped ship" leaving the proprietors without restaurant facilities, for which had developed a local and web-based high reputation. No fault of the owner. Soplease note that at the time of going to press, this establishment provides an excellent breakfast, but no other meals whatsoever. |

Well placed for Penzance. Good Breakfast. Bar might or might not be open -needs time put up. Restaurant closed ( not a problem but should be told) |

the location was ok, close to the centre of Penzance it was like Fawlty Towers. Website photos were outdated and deceptive. I thought 'hotel' would mean dinner available, it was not, room was too small, breakfast was not good - stale cereal and cold cooked breakfast. |

I have stayed at the Tarbert many times as a business traveller. On this visit, the room had plenty of space, and a larger fan which was great as it was very warm that evening. The staff are always friendly and accomodating, the breakfast is great! and the price is right. They have had in the past and say they had wireless internet access throughout the hotel but they did not which caused problems as I could not get emails even though the staff tried to help. They assured me however, that they are getting it reinstated so I would definately stay here again once they have the wireless available. |

the food and helpfulness of the staff plentry of literature on what to do/go in the area the room! we are not large people so beware of room 3 if you are on the chubby side! |
