Situated in Scotland’s first National Park, this charming guesthouse is set high above the village of Tarbet, boasting spectacular views over Loch Lomond and towards the western side of Ben Lomond. Set in nearly 7 acres of private gardens, less than one hour from Glasgow, on the northeast side of the house is an beautiful forest where there are deer and other wildlife. This includes a beautiful waterfall which feeds various deep pools on the East Burn, on its way to Loch Lomond. Tarbet House was cleverly designed to take full advantage of the site’s elevated position and the stunning Loch views. With this in mind, the lounge and dining areas both have floor-to-ceiling windows, stretching the entire length of both rooms. The views are truly breathtaking. Patio doors open out onto a south-facing, decked sun terrace. Hotel Rooms: 3

The landscapes. Near the Loch Lomond. Excellent breakfast. Kind personal. Marvelous comfort. A little bit difficult to find how to arrive there. Check the instructions before travelling in "Booking" page. We didn´t do it :)

Fantastic location for exploring Loch Lomond and the local area. Very spacious suites and good service. George and Paula were V good hosts. One of the best views you will ever get from a bedroom window. A duvet in rooms would have been better rather than just sheets and blankets, and TV / lounge in the suits was good however would have much prefered TV in bedroom.

Location! Location! Location! You could not ask for a better location on Loch Lomond than this although it is late arrival the owner did let us in early. The owners were very polite and helpful. We were looking for a break and a peaceful getaway from city life and this is the ideal place the only downside is having to leave the following morning! The breakfast was very pleasant and satisfying. We definitely will be back and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. We would like to say a big thank-you to the owners on making our stay a peaceful break and hope to be back soon. If I had to write something about what I didn't like about this place it would be the arrival time 4pm as most places we have stayed is 2pm but as the owner let us in early this was not a problem for us.

This is a B&B in a class of its own. Lovely stylish suite with balcony, astonishing views of Loch Lomond, bathroom with seperate shower and bath, excellent freshly cooked breakfast with fresh cut fruits. It was terribly rainy and cold on our arrival, but we couldn't check in until 4pm.

The owners of tarbet guest house are very friendly & helpful! The view to the loch from the room is amazing! Very romantic. I also enjoyed the breakfast, made to order, lovely. The only thing I would say is this guest house is not very close to many restaurants, there is not very many in walking distance and there are no taxis! Therefore be prepered to drive out for dinner.

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Haus, etwas abseits im Grünen und sehr ruhig gelegen. Unser Zimmer hatte durch die etwas erhöhte Lage einen unverbauten phantastischen Panoramablick auf Loch Lommond und die umgebende Natur. Eine eigene Terrasse mit der gleichen tollen Aussicht lädt bei schönem Wetter zum Entspannen ein. Zum geschmackvoll und modern eingerichteten Haus gehört zudem eine gepflegte Gartenanlage. Man wird dazu aufgefordert, die Frühstückszeiten unbedingt exakt einzuhalten. Bei nur 4 Zimmern gibt nur 4 mögliche Zeiten, "anzutreten". Um Punkt 7.30 Uhr, die nächsten müssen dann Punkt 8.00 Uhr da sein, dann die um 8.30 Uhr und die letzten 2 Gäste dürfen dann auch erst um 9.00 Uhr auf der Matte stehen. Wer zu spät kommt wird ermahnt. Das Frühstückskommando trübte den ansonsten sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Zu der ansonsten sehr schönen Ausstattung des Zimmers passte leider nicht die Art der Bettwäsche. Die in dieser Kategorie übliche bezogene Bettwäsche fehlte, dafür gabs nur ein über 2 Wolldecken übergeschlagenes Bettlaken.
