Situated in Scotland’s first National Park, this charming guesthouse is set high above the village of Tarbet, boasting spectacular views over Loch Lomond and towards the western side of Ben Lomond. Set in nearly 7 acres of private gardens, less than one hour from Glasgow, on the northeast side of the house is an beautiful forest where there are deer and other wildlife. This includes a beautiful waterfall which feeds various deep pools on the East Burn, on its way to Loch Lomond. Tarbet House was cleverly designed to take full advantage of the site’s elevated position and the stunning Loch views. With this in mind, the lounge and dining areas both have floor-to-ceiling windows, stretching the entire length of both rooms. The views are truly breathtaking. This was one of the nicest B&Bs of our 7 day holiday in northern Scotland. The views from the huge spaceous bedroom was fantastic, overlooking Loche Lomond and with a clear view of the mountain behind it. In addition to the huge exceptionally clean and comfortable bedroom, there was sitting room with a couch, and a huge bathroom with both a tub and shower. Paula, our host was very friendly and suggested options for local dining. The breakfast was also great with the same fanatastic view of the loche and mountains. I only wish all of the places we stayed on our holiday were as nice as the Tarbet Guest House.

The location and views of the Guest house were amazing. The warm and friendly hostess, Paula added such value and warmth. Great room (with a view) and bathroom, with big bath & great shower! Chilly weather was no problem - the room was cosy and warm. Breakfast was amazing! The only thing missing was Wi-fi, which may not be such a bad thing!

The landscapes. Near the Loch Lomond. Excellent breakfast. Kind personal. Marvelous comfort. A little bit difficult to find how to arrive there. Check the instructions before travelling in "Booking" page. We didn´t do it :)

This is one of the best views I have ever seen from a bedroom window... Unbeatable. Room smelled of mould. Sofa not comfy. Had kitchen facilities but no crockery or cutlery.

Location! Location! Location! You could not ask for a better location on Loch Lomond than this although it is late arrival the owner did let us in early. The owners were very polite and helpful. We were looking for a break and a peaceful getaway from city life and this is the ideal place the only downside is having to leave the following morning! The breakfast was very pleasant and satisfying. We definitely will be back and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. We would like to say a big thank-you to the owners on making our stay a peaceful break and hope to be back soon. If I had to write something about what I didn't like about this place it would be the arrival time 4pm as most places we have stayed is 2pm but as the owner let us in early this was not a problem for us.

This is a B&B in a class of its own. Lovely stylish suite with balcony, astonishing views of Loch Lomond, bathroom with seperate shower and bath, excellent freshly cooked breakfast with fresh cut fruits. It was terribly rainy and cold on our arrival, but we couldn't check in until 4pm.

The owners of tarbet guest house are very friendly & helpful! The view to the loch from the room is amazing! Very romantic. I also enjoyed the breakfast, made to order, lovely. The only thing I would say is this guest house is not very close to many restaurants, there is not very many in walking distance and there are no taxis! Therefore be prepered to drive out for dinner.
