We were travelling with 2 teenagers and found that all B & Bs we researched required us to book 2 rooms, which doubled the expense. Tasburgh House had one large room with a double and 2 single beds that could fit our family. The house and grounds were beautiful and the service was perfect. We felt completed relaxed. Every request was met with just a little extra e.g. if we asked for a pot of coffee, it came with complimentary brownies and cookies. We wished we had booked a longer stay.

Our innkeeper, Susan, was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. She set out an early breakfast (before the usual time) for us one morning so we could eat before meeting our tour bus. She helped us weigh our luggage and print documents for the flight home. The house is lovely and the terraced garden even better. We enjoyed walking along the Avon and Kennet canal in the morning and evening going to and from the Bath city center.

The welcome from the African grey parrot, Charlie! The very nice owner, the location and the excellent breakfast. Room was very hot at night making it very difficult to sleep. Double bed was made up of two singles and left and uncomfortable ridge in the centre. For the price of the room I would have thought a full English breakfast would have been included although the included breakfast was very good.

Prior to my visit I had a very welcoming email from Sue giving me directions avoiding the town. Upon arrival I was expected and welcomed by first name. My room was ready. It was nicely furnished with a view looking over the fields with Bath in the back ground. Other small things like a welcome note in my room and weather details for the next few days were nice touches. Everyone was friendly with nothing too much trouble to accomodate their guests.

A delightful, beautifully restored Victorian within walking distance of the center of Bath. A splendid atmosphere, great views of the hills, splendid atmosphere of courtesy and consideration. I shall certainly hope to return. A bit far out but worth the walk if you don't mind a fifteen minute walk.

It was like home from home almost, a comfortable bed as well as a couple of armchairs squeezed in. A very nice room but the en-suite was a little tight. The staff were very friendly and informative and the continental breakfast was great. The gardens were lovely but needed some attention in certain areas. It rained all day so we couldn't enjoy them.

“Comfortable clean rooms, peaceful ambience, very customer focussed and competent staff. Breakfast was just as previous visitors have decribed, a good selection to please most people and on a par with upmarket hotels. Car parking although £10 a day for the service is worth it in Bath. Location for city centre walking is excellent.” Michael, Wynyard |
