Holiday Inn Express Taunton  

This is an excellent modern hotel. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. For a budget price this was outstanding value for money.

The efficiency of the staff on arrival. The cleanliness of the room and the fantastic shower. Really impressed with breakfast food very good and hot. Would not hesitate staying at another Express.

Room presentation was excellent, All the facilities worked, good advice from Reception staff on local information. Weboth thought that the continental breakfast was well up to standard

The hotel was ideally placed for our use, which was a meet up with family. Harvester next door was also an added bonus. The hotel restaurant served a reasonable breakfast.

breakfast was included in the price and staff were more then happy to help with anything we needed.

the room we were in- conjoining room and the people next door ( a young football team) were making to much noise well past midnight. perhaps ask for a room without conjoining doors if noise or somebody elses conversation would keep you awake!

Very close to the main road, hard to get lost. Bar open late which was a bonus when we arrived late. Very efficient and fast self- service breakfast included in price. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend to the economy traveller - no frills but great value.

Good value for money. Good choice and variety for breakfast.

Have steyed before and will continue to do so when visiting family and this part of the world! Like the convenience of location, cleanliness and helpful staff. A plus point for us is that we are not charged for our two dogs when we stay, unlike some lesser establishments!

Only two tea bags/coffee sachets and no biscuits in room - a minor point! Would like to see alternative style eggs and maybe bacon, hash browns or similar at brealfast. Again, a minor observation and not really a complaint!

The bathroom drains smelt a little. There were no facilities for a gluten free diet. I suffer from coeliacs disease and am unable to eat any products that contain flour or wheat. In many hotels gluten free bread and cereals are available on request. The bread can be stored in the freezer and can be defrosted as required. One in a hundred people have coeliacs disease and many hotels are now providing gluten free options. I will not visit Holiday Inns again until I see this option advertised as I could not eat much of the breakfast. Otherwise the accomodation was satisfactory.
