The owner was very helpful and the breakfast was very filling. We had a lovely stay there.
parking limited outside the hotel
The manger was very helpful and friendly.
Flat pillows No soap provided ( oops )
The close proximity to centre of Caernarfon so no need to take the car
Slightly tired looking outside but a warm welcome inside.
Staff very friendly, facilities were very good and spotlessly clean, mattress, which is often a down point, was of good quality and breakfast was excellent.
No en suite
I really enjoyed how welcoming the staff were, the room was really good with a good quality mattress for the bed (= good night sleep) and the location couldn't have been better. Good transport access to Snowdon mountain as well.
The apartment was perfect; separate entrance and parking right outside the door. Ideal set up for a small family like ours and brilliantly located for exploring Caernarfon. Breakfast was extra for us but we had it two mornings and it was worth every penny; Phil and Paula couldn't do enough and were incredibly friendly (once you adjust to Phil's sense of humour...watch out for the famous life saving leg
Hardly anything; but if I had to find a fault it would be that the door between the kitchen and apartment didn't feel too secure and a gap under the door meant I felt obliged to keep the noise down; not easy with two children!
Very centrally located for visiting castle and a good price.
We found that the eccentric host left us with an uneasy feeling and did not feel completely comfortable here as a result. Would prefer staff to be straightforward and professional. Would choose somewhere else if we had our time again.
Almost everything including the location in the walled castle area of Caenarfon
Restricted access and parking within the walled area of Caenarfon
clean, good breakfast
owner could be a bit grumpy
Checking out time.
My booking had not been registered when we arrived, good job a room was available. Our room was not cleaned on the first day. The towels are awful, they did not dry well. No choice of breakfast, only full English. And Phil needs lessons on customer relations.
The relaxed atmosphere
The seagulls which wasn't the fault of the guesthouse.
nothing I like.
the manager is very terrible, he is really no patient to customer. the place is quite small as well, people share the small toilets and shower. But the price is not match the rooms.
within close walking distance to the Caernarfon Castle and other city attractions, very clean and comfortable, good kitchen facilities.
Lady proprietor was very helpful. Everything was no problem and breakfasts were good.
My brother and I (both mature adults and professional people) were accosted by the male member of staff/cook on arrival who, when we entered the hallway, loudly demanded "Can't you read?" He was apparently accusing us of not being able to read the 'No Vacancies' notice on the front door. We explained we had a booking. 'No you haven't' was the response. I showed him the booking.com print out and he said 'Well they haven't told us - typical' No apology was made for his abrupt manner and inappropriate comments. We started the discussion again and they did have a room available (there were several empty). We checked alternative B&Bs and had there been anywhere else available we would not have stayed. Apart from this unpleasant and unwelcoming beginning however the stay was fine, but it is unlikely we would stay there again. Clearly the online booking system, and the manner of addressing actual or potential guests, both need urgent review.
We enjoyed our stay there. Thanks a lot to the owner.
The restroom is at different level which is inconvienet.
friendly and comfortable.
great location and nice full English breakfast.
Ensuite would be great
I arrived late to this guesthouse and was warmly welcomed and set up perfectly in a fully equipped room. Amenities included everything you could ask for and I was even allowed to take a shower after a cycle race after I had checked out.
The cooked breakfast was nice, the manager Phill has a strange sense of humour, very dry and funny.
The bed & pillows were very uncomfortable so couldn't sleep
The Location. Breakfast.
Not having a wardrobe in my room. Nowhere to hang clothes and tv not working to well. Proprietor of Guest House was not expecting me.
Great guest house. Couldn't be any closer to everything on offer. Spotlessly clean and the apartment we stayed in could not have been better equipped. My kids couldn't get over the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Would stay again without hesitation. Thanks again Phil. Mark+Emma+James
