Peaceful place, ideal for a relaxing vacation to visit the surroundings

Room too cold: despite the duvet, I woke up many times during the night because of the cold (I went there at the end of August)- Free breakfast not bad, but was not easy to find everything at the first instance- Bad wi-fi connection (I was on a business trip)- good value for money by the way

Quiet and convenient location for my visit in some lovely grounds. Bit off the beaten track, which can be seen as an advantage by some.

A little dated and basic but enough for one night. Entrance and sign posting not really clear, but helpful on the phone when asked. Some interesting literature on the history of the site and the Theosophical Society that use the retreat, but documents from the early 90's.

The lady Kelly was absolutely fabulous and the diy breakfast was quite good although no eggs left by the time I got down to the Dining Room. It was certainly a very quiet location .

The room had a decent basin towels and complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. However the tv was very old and small and high up. The toilet and shower were up the corridor and the bedding was clean but the pillows didnt smell very nice. All in all ok for a nights stay but wouldn't stay longer. The signage to the hostel was almost non existent and a long way off the main road.

I loved the beautiful location which was very peaceful. This guesthouse is set in a lovely country park and the scenery and walks are gorgeous. The staff were also very helpful.

Not keen on the absence of at least an ensuite toilet facility and the main building and rooms could do with updating and redecorating.

Great location. Lovely place. The breakfast was fine. I would stat again, very clean and friendly.

No en-suite. Metal framed bed that creaked each time you moved. Single bed with single bed quilt. I am 6ft 4in. It wasn't long enough. If I wasn't so tall it would have been fine, clean bedding and towels.

Friendly helpful staff Nice environment Great value for money Almost home from home

The reception was closed at 8.15pm on the 2nd night and I couldn't get my key until around 10.30pm. Other than that there was nothing wrong and I will definitely go back

    > Quiet and peaceful > Very friendly staff

    > Lack of en-suite facilities. > Water in room sinks only luke warm > Feels like a youth hostel, but cost of room reflects this...

The staff were very welcoming when we arrived late after a very difficult trip.We had not eaten and were offered a sandwich and coffee.Shown to our room and the foodhall As they were not busy the following day we were able to leave our car and see our grandson pass out at Sandhurst. Many thanks.

nothing really. It is at the end of the year and in places could do with a lick of paint.

Everything: nice comfortable bed, private room, all facilities needed, good cold breakfast, plenty of provisions

No staff about but did not mind too much as everything was to hand.

The setting of the guesthouse in Tekels Park. Quiet and calm surroundings.

I arrived at 19:30 (not an outrageous time) and found the reception un-manned. I waited for 15 minutes then had to track-down a mobile number to phone for assistance. Breakfast offerings such as mold-covered grapes and un-refrigerated butter that was within 1 day of its use-by date.

The guest house is set in a lovely area of park/woodland. Breakfast is self-service and unrestricted.

Accommodation is a little basic. Room decor and contents are minimalist - rather reminiscent of staying in hospital. Accommodation was rather hard to find and is 1 mile to nearest restaurant/pub.
