Parking Close to University, station and centre and easily accessible Very friendly and helpful staff Interesting decor Good breakfast WiFi
Breakfast Location Staff v helpful
Spacious room and hot shower
Tiny roll of toilet paper provided which ran out that night- luckily leaving early in the morning. Tea bags in the room were disgusting. Not impress with the extra coffee costs , esp considering breakfast portions were not that generous
-Very Friendly staff -Great Breakfast -Rooms have everything you need -The perfect place to stay for a weekend break.
Rooms are a bit small * its part of the charm, its a boutique bnb
Car park available, clean and good size bedrooms, we really enjoy it!
Reasonable price, friendly staff, comfortable room, good breakfast!
The staff very welcoming, the room really comfortable, the breakfast delicious.
very courteous & helpful, good atmosphere , excellent staff. especially helpful re. parking
This b&b is full of character. Great taste in art and the owners are committed to caring for the environment( my husband was persuaded to walk into town). Great stay.
The Telstar is a classic B&B with a convenient location for rail travelers and for those who like to walk around town. The Breakfast was very nice with special requests (e.g., soft poached eggs) handled willingly. their laundry service was inexpensive and quick.
Downstairs suite with own garden lovely. Breakfast good choice. Great location for walking into the centre. Nice internal patio area.
Hard mattress. Parking difficulties as I did not know about the overflow arrangements.
Nice bedrooms. Great breakfast.
A warm welcome, scrupulously clean and comfortable, The Telstar ticked all our boxes. We had requested a room on the back after reading the reviews about it being quieter and we got one. The room although not huge had a fresh, clean feel and didn't have that 'tired, used' feeling that you find in lots of chain hotel rooms. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and we like the eco friendly touches. Where do we start with the breakfast - all locally sourced and freshly cooked it was lovely, especially the speciality apricot and fennel bread and homemade preserves. The service was professional yet friendly and it really shows that a huge amount of effort is going into making everyone's stay enjoyable. I would definately stay again and highly recommend it.
We couldn't think of anything we didn't like but our son, after a lot of thought said it could have had a swimming pool (!!!- no pleasing everyone)
Near the centre of Exeter. Easy to reach.
small parking space.
Friendly staff who quickly sorted some minor problems with light bulbs and t.v. Great breakfast.
Car parking a bit tricky but at last it was available.
Nice old building with character and well maintained. Nicely decorated with good touches like proper ground coffee in the rooms and filtered water. Good breakfast. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nice and close to the train station.
Couldn't fault anything.
The eco /planet friendly aspect , the fresh coffee in the room was a lovely surprise and great tasting coffee too. The place is quirky and the breakfast was fabulous .
Room could have done with a larger fan in this heat as windows don't open fully .
great location for a short stay
we booked a room for three and the small single bed was a daybed which was way to small for an adult, so we had to book a single room as well.
Loved the decor and quirkiness. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Clean and well maintained. Good quality breakfast.
Room at the front was quite noisy and a little cramped (had to squeeze past each other at the end of the bed!)
The breakfast, as well as the sitting area are beautifully decorated. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and nice.
We had the quadruple patio room and the access to the room was from behind, near the parking, so we had to make a detour.
Spacious room Friendly staff Lovely food
Staff, room, breakfast, location.
The noise at night by other guests was terrible. I was woken after 2.00am on the Friday and Saturday, crashing upstairs doors, loud shouting voices. Just unfortunate I had used the hotel to visit a sick relative in Exter. I am not adverse to noise..but this was a little too much.
