Friendly receptionists Food tasty Bed comfortable Good location
Wine plunked on meal table, unopened, and we had to open & pour it ourselves. Nobody at reception when we arrived (1945 hours). Layer of dust along length of varnished ledge beside our mealtable.Had obviouslynot been dusted for weeks. Limited dinner menu due to fact they had no duck or liver, despite the fact they were on the menu,& there was no lamb on the menu. Used cutlery & dishes not removed from table when waitress camt table to see if everything was OK. Smell of frying oil permeated throughout Grill Bar.. Milk jug on breakfast table was filthy inside near top-it was brown with dirt ! Cooked breakfast was not exactly as ordered. TV remote control in bedroom did not work. Stayed in this hotel over a number of years without complaint.Retired to live abroad, so this sojourn was first for 3 years.Problems must have, therefore developed over past 3 years.
We have to pay for wifi.I am working in a hotel (in kildare, ireland) our wifi is free anywhere within the premises.
The family rooms on the top floor are amazing
No lift left it really hard for us with a buggy and bags to come and go from the room.
Wonderful hotel, staff could not have been more helpful, clean and great value.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. it was a good location to travel Co Antrim
The bed was terrible, probably the worst we have ever encountered
The country feel and the homeliness of the hotel. Great staff too, each were very friendly and greeted me as I came through the door each time
Breakfast service was a bit confusing.
Grill room and breakfast were good. Bar staff were very friendly. Good location.
Very dark and dated ambience. Room was too hot with no way to switch off radiator in bathroom. Pillows and mattress was very hard.
food and staff
decor of room needs updated but very clean and worth the money
Stayed overnight for a wedding party. The room was nice and spacious.
The bathroom would need some work there was no room around the washbasin.
Fantastic friendly staff could not do enough very good value for money
being charged a fortune for wifi
Large open areas for relaxation and for informal family gathering. Beautiful garden area viewed from bedroom but not enough time in schedule to fully appreciate, maybe next time I visit? Dining in the restaurant was very enjoyable and reasonable as well as the full breakfast.
Some bathroom areas need touching up especially around the bath but otherwise fine and fit for purpose.
The suite that we had was excellent in terms of space, comfort. Real luxury!
Having to pay for wifi!!
I was surprised that they expected payment for WiFi something most places including B & B do not make a charge
Comfortable areas to relax, little or no background music which was great able to think & talk without having to raise voice. Myself & colleague stayed whilst on business.
No negative issues
We were only there for one night but found it relaxing and value for money..
Functional hotel with good location
Took 10 minutes of ringing the bell to get the night porter to let me in. Couldn't get a copy of the bill in the morning and despite being promised a copy that day I had to chase for it
Lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly, good food
Didn't like the fact that the double bed was 2 single ones put together
Terrible breakfast Room was cold and no winter duvet
The bar staff were very poor. The drinks served by the bar staff took some 15 minutes to arrive. This was experienced by all the people in our party. Wine at the function was not stocked and it took some 10 minutes for the bar staff to get the wine from another bar. They made us wait at the bar the whole time.

Hotel very cold
Staff were lovely very helpful and pleasant
The room was cold and even with additional blankets i was cold. Felt the rooms were in need of updating /refurb
Leaving. Free parking.
All sockets loose/screws coming away - sockets came away from wall when unplugging. TV remote control sellotaped & not working at all. Curtains did not meet in middle/no privacy. Dark, grubby, dingy room. Cold. Loose, stained ceiling tiles. Horrible, dark bed spread. Old , brown blanket/no quilt. Very hard, squeaky bed. Grubby kettle. No guest info in room. No room service evident. No lift / had to struggle with bags up & down stairs. Very old, worn bathroom suite. Worn, grey wallpaper. Did not risk/stay for breakfast.
No free wifi in this day and age is a major negative!!
Lovely reception and welcome, helpful staff - great room, nice and clean and lovely size. They'd made up a great bed for my daughter
Lack of a lift, except the disabled one
The Room was spacious and well decorated.Plenty of disabled toilets. Plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge area.
