Room was comfortable, quiet and good temperature (sounds unremarkable but very few hotels seem to be able to get this right!) Some confusion over what i had booked (my email confirmation included breakfast but hotel had no record of this) however this was easily remedied. |

Room was good size and clean, location was good for shopping No hot water so couldn't have a shower before going out, they had a recurring boiler problem. Milk was off at breakfast, took it away but didn't bring any more back |

Good location. Quiet room. Television worked well. Good cupboard space. In-room safe. Hospitality tray. Reception on arrival less than welcoming - spent five minutes finishing personal phone call! (May be lack of training.) Various things broken in room - bathroom door handle, bath plug, basin soakaway - which we would have expected to have been noticed by cleaners and repaired before the next client visit. Transparent glass bathroom doors rather peculiar/unsettling (just a personal opinion). |

Excellent thoroughly modern hotel... all the comforts within the room... so provided you're not looking for leisure clubs etc then this hotel is excellent. |

Lovely big rooms with kingsize beds. We were upgraded to skyline rooms on 5th floor, exellent! Great location, 10 min walk to royal mile but very quiet location. Nice breakfast. The door to the bathroom is made of glass, looks very fancy, but not much privacy ;-) |

Good strong decor/strong design identity - in value for money hotel. Excellent location for visit to universities. One small, minor thing ....... we were two people in double room had 1 set of towels! obviously an oversight. |

The location of the hotel was perfect to visit all the city sights. It was in a quiet area. We didn't like the limited frosting on the door to the bathroom. The bed didn't seem big enough to be a king size as advertised! |

Great welcome by night porter. Big, comfortable bed and attractive room. Had near-scalding accident with the shower. The tap with which you adjust the water temperature seemed to be faulty. |

lack of hot water. and the hotels policy to wait until monday for an engineer to mend the boiler. ( there must have been somebody in edinburgh available over the weekend) instead staff replied "there's nothing we can do, sorry" |

The location was relatively central and easy to walk to the main shopping area .Plenty of bars and eateries close by. Certain rooms (114 to 102), we were in 112 backed onto a loading area for a local shop and we were awakened by loading/unloading at 6.15am the noise was constant until 6.50am and as the room had no double or secondary glazing it was extremely noisy. |

Modern clean and well presented hotel in an excellent location. Very pleasant staff, a very good breakfast, nice quiet rooms. I marked comfort down as the bed base was broken. The staff, however, were not aware of this until I advised them, and were apologetic. Difficulties encountered with internet access. |
