Only one thing, A little bit of black mould in the shower. But hee ho, not the end of the world.
Location was perfect for my daughter and I, safe and quite but could walk into old city easy and the main shopping area within 15mins. We found the room spacious and a very comfy.
Good for a very short stay but nowhere comfortable to sit. We were given a disabled shower with no horizontal areas to put toothbrushes or razors.
Everybody was very helpful. Very good chef but they should have been prosecuted under the goods descriptions act for the " selection of Scottish Cheeses".
Fabulous hotel in a great location. we visited the playhouse on our visit, just a short 10-15 min walk. Faultless hotel. Would definitely recommend
Breakfast as an added extra. Should have been included in price.
Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Perfect location
Not a dislike, more of a comment - As we had a disabled bathroom, there wasnt a bath, not a problem as I am sure if we had requested one, they would have provided a room with one.
Bed was large and comfy We had a disabled bathroom, so it was larger than normal but nice. Ideal location
Rather expensive for location and room needed carpets steam cleaned
Breakfast was 1st class
Comfy beds and pillows
lovely quiet square but not far from the Royal Mile
Excellent hotel in a good location especially for theatre nearby breakfast was excellent stayed in one of the suites and will do again
Location, friendly staff, décor and a stunning breakfast!!
The room had not been prepared very well.the sink was blocked with soap(this was quickly dealt with) the bathroom was poorly ventilated and having no heated mirror and poor lighting shaving was a challenge! The stay was pretty expensive, so the room should have been better.
Great position in Edinburgh. Staff were courteous and helpful. Barman excellent.
Limited parking space
Very helpful staff
- room was not serviced on my second day - brown water from the hot tap, not resolved until I left ( stayed 3 days ) - wash basin not draining well, reported , no change.
- pleasant staff - great location - next to the RCSEdinburgh
A little bit away from centre but still within walking distance. A nice quiet place for a drink and meal after a hectic day . We found central pubs a bit hustle and bustle
Could be made excellent with a little additional deep cleaning of overflows and so forth and a better hairdryer.
The staff were brilliant. The room was a good size with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable, slept like a log. Could not fault the breakfast lots of choice and great service. Very happy :0)
No Gym available
Very nice and comfort rooms
As I got to the hotel room, I noticed a towel chucked on the towel rail. Thought it was strange, but then simply ignored it as I assumed maybe the room service people forgot to take it out from a previous guest. Didn't make much of it, but also didn't use that towel. Unrelated to that, I also noticed there was a lot of water leaking from the basing (enough to get your socks wet) when you opened the tap. Reported it immediately and the receptionist told me she would send someone in to fix. That never happened throughout my whole stay (3 nights). The towel? Never got moved from that towel rail. My own towel never actually got replaced either. I left it once on the bed, and once on the floor, only to get back to the room and find out it had been folded, but not replaced (still damp). Before my departure, I mentioned it to reception. The guy simply said: "I'll let the manager know" and didn't even apologize. Not going back there again.
The wifi was really good and free. The hotel bar was good, and meals were very decent. location is super handy.
Really loved staff in the morning when you went down for your breakfast. One of the guys was very pleasant and nice. Hope to go back and see them again.
We stayed in the junior suite 502' with fantastic view of Arthur's Seat and Leith. Lovely big room with really comfortable bed, sofas and table in one corner looking out on to that view! Large bathroom with everything you need. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back!
Hotel staff friendly & helpful. Very welcoming.
Due to water supply problems we had to change the room at 11:30 pm, next day there was no water for an hour. Roomcleaning could be improved, cobwebs behind the room door. Window couldnt be closed, had to be fixed privisionally by us.
Perfectly situated, friendly staff
Room was very cold. We had to put heating up full and even then it didn't make much difference.
Nice staff though English was not their first language so difficult to communicate easily. Room was nice, clean and tidy. Decent breakfast. We only stayed 1 night so can not comment on full facilities
Bed was very big but could of done with a new mattress
The staff were very helpful and welcoming , the room was a very good size and smartly decorated, breakfast was outstanding 10/10
The staff were friendly and helpful, the food in the bar and the breakfast were good, the room was quiet and very comfortable and I found out that if my husband had been with me, we could have the same deal with paying only £10 more ! I will remember that !
