Room quite spacious Real fire in bar Breakfast very nice
Room was cold when we arrived took quite a long time to get warm the person who showed us to the room turned the radiator up, but they were expecting us so it would have been much more welcoming to come in from the cold to a warm room. No hairdryer in rooms I asked if they had any the owner said they had been taken, he managed to borrow one so myself and my friend (the other couple we had come with) had to share the one hairdryer! The food was a reasonable quality pub food, the portions were huge and although we couldn't eat deserts we weren't offered any coffee.
Loved our four poster bed!
Lovely location, very friendly staff, comfortable room and delicious dinner and breakfast! In fact everything you want from a hotel.
Could do with a little bit of up-dating decoration wise, but it really didn't spoil our visit in any way.
great location comfortable rooms good food at fairly reasonable prices trout fishery next door
totally over-charged on room rat by £70 (Hotel could at least have deducted 2 x breakfasts not used as there was only 2 of us) Kilnsey Angling Club resident at pub also ripped us off £35 for 2 day tickets and pushed us on to the two upper beats with no water in the river. Wiull never stay here or fish here again, sorry.
Great staff, superb location for Mountain Biking, good meal and lovely room overlooking the crag!! Large family room. Good parking.
food , ambience of room , comfy bed , bathroom.
NEEDED A GOOD MAP TO FIND IT.
We stayed just for one night at this lovely hotel and had a superb meal. Staff were friendly, the room was lovely and breakfast freshly cooked. We wished we could have stayed longer
the location, staff good food and drink
The area is beautiful - our room was large; the bed was also large & comfortable; the view was great and the shower room gorgeous.
The fire alarm went off shortly before midnight because of a fault and wasn't turned off for 40 minutes, but we received no apology. The hotel is overpriced for the facilities offered.
Friendly, helpful staff Good food Great location Free Parking Comfy rooms
Faulty fire alarm.
Staff were very welcoming, helped me to my room with my things. I was travelling with my dog & they were really good with him, very friendly & accommodating. My room was lovely. Very Clean
Lack of vegetarian choices on the menu. No fruit teas. Nothing important though
We liked the relaxed nature of the pub and the staff were very friendly. The evening meals and breakfasts were very good.
Some evidence that the rooms needed more thorough cleaning, ie. cobwebs and around the windows were not very clean. Just a lack of attention to detail really.
the location and the service. The level of accomodation was fine but nothing special. The stff were very friendly and efficient.
few problems with the room. We had a poor view between wings over a roof. The bath would not empty properly, and the room had a few cobwebs. There was nothing -particularly bad, but for what it was it was expensive. I was looking forward to being ablt to drink some real ales and not driving, but quite a few of the beers were off, and those that were not were all golden bitters which I don't especially like
stayed in the superier room which had large four poster bed great views of the dales. The bath bathroom was magnificent could lay in bath and again great view of the dales.
Location was gorgeous, easy to find. Staff were helpful and attentive. The room was clean and the bedding and decor were smart and pretty. Clean, modern bathroom. Didn't spend much time in pub area but it looked atmospheric and friendly.
Bigger portion of full english breakfast. Corridors upstairs could do with a refresh.
We were looking forward to visiting old familiar haunts and renewing our Tennant Arms experience after many years. We received a warm friendly welcome and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We dined on both nights and enjoyed good, well-cooked food of generous proportions. Breakfasts were similarly not for the faint hearted.
We would have slept better had the pillows not been as tired as we were. As our room was at the back the view was rather restricted, but now I'm nit picking.
The food was a good price, between £8.00 to £14.00 for a main and average of £6.00 for starters and sweet. A good selection of fish, red meat, chicken and vegatarian dishes available. It was cooked well and arrived piping hot. The waitress was very attentative and a delightfull character. King room had a very ralaxing bathroom, much appreciated after a long day walking. A big bath and double shower made it almost impossible to leave the bathroom! It was good value for money and we would stay again. It provides a nice warm welcome and thats important at the end of the day.
The king bed is a must for us a double is always too small which is why we paid extra for the king room. It is a very compfortable large room, but although the bed was big it was sadly not as comfortable as it looked. The tv is a nice large tv so this was a bonus. The usual tea, coffee and biscuits was available in the room. Our room overlooked the road at the front, but beyond that there were the fields.
location and friendliness of staff.
Very slow service for the evening meal.
Family Room much larger than expected. Really friendly staff. Pub food and breakfasts all huge and home cooked - suited our teenage sons perfectly! Also dog friendly and a good base for walking in the area.
Friendly barman and other staff members Restaurant offers good value for money Dartboard!
Family room is expensive.
Made very welcome. Cosy hotel and friendly. Excellent breakfast. An enjoyable stay.
No electric shaver point available in the bathroom. Unable to have a shave.
we have stayed at the Tennant before quite a long time ago and it has not really changed a great deal. We had a lovely room with a 4 poster bed and great bathroom. Food is good pub grub and staff try hard.
Needed to request a hairdryer, bed not made, cups in room stained. Chaotic meal arrangements on first night despite reserving a table. Staff very happy to tell you that the toaster is slow and it shows with the cardboard texture of the toast when it eventually arrives.
Friendly staff and excellent food and beer made this a lovely place to stay overnight. Comfortable room with jacuzzi bath....very nice!
