Location was gorgeous, easy to find. Staff were helpful and attentive. The room was clean and the bedding and decor were smart and pretty. Clean, modern bathroom. Didn't spend much time in pub area but it looked atmospheric and friendly.
Bigger portion of full english breakfast. Corridors upstairs could do with a refresh.
We were looking forward to visiting old familiar haunts and renewing our Tennant Arms experience after many years. We received a warm friendly welcome and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We dined on both nights and enjoyed good, well-cooked food of generous proportions. Breakfasts were similarly not for the faint hearted.
We would have slept better had the pillows not been as tired as we were. As our room was at the back the view was rather restricted, but now I'm nit picking.
location and friendliness of staff.
Very slow service for the evening meal.
Family Room much larger than expected. Really friendly staff. Pub food and breakfasts all huge and home cooked - suited our teenage sons perfectly! Also dog friendly and a good base for walking in the area.
Friendly barman and other staff members Restaurant offers good value for money Dartboard!
Family room is expensive.
Made very welcome. Cosy hotel and friendly. Excellent breakfast. An enjoyable stay.
No electric shaver point available in the bathroom. Unable to have a shave.
Friendly staff and excellent food and beer made this a lovely place to stay overnight. Comfortable room with jacuzzi bath....very nice!
The room had been done out lovely and the bathroom was very spacious and included a jacuzzi bath - exceeded our expectations for a standard room! The staff were friendly and had a good breakfast!
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was first class.
Room was nice, clean and tidy. Food was really good and specials were great VFM. Somewhere secure to store bikes. Nice location
Mattress could use replacement as it was somewhat hard and lumpy.
Location, staff, meals, good beer
Staff a bit erratic at cleaning the room. Had to chase manager for coffee making stuff one day and next day glasses had been removed and not replaced. Just needs a bit of TLC and checking what is being done.
Good food. Good choice of wines by the glass at good price. Ideal central location for Wharfedale.
Toilet flush didn't work.Broken tile on bathroom floor was very dangerous. Reported in writing but four days later neither was fixed. Younger staff didn't seem to be interested in providing service and were untrained. Manager was not resident
Very friendly and comfortable, nice bright room, excellent evening meal and a superb full English breakfast that was included in the price of the room. The hotel is at the foot of the impressive crag that it's well worth a scramble to the foot of, and lovely Dales scenery all about.
There was nothing to mar a very enjoyable stay.
Poor service and low beer stock due to Tour de France the previous days. Understandable to a point, but had to go to other locals for these. Should have had back up stock for other residents. No bar food. Place run on a shoe string for maximum profit.
The bedroom lovely, beautiful crisp, clean cotton bedlinen. Must be one of the most beautiful views from my bubble bath i have ever seen !
The breakfast was a little greasy, with the tinned toms and baked beans mixing together on the plate sloppily. Perhaps some fresh fruit would be nice instead of tinned.
Wonderful staff, made very welcome. Rooms excellent, food above and beyond. Will return to this one .
The room was lovely, especially the bathroom.
It was a bit noisy at night because my room was above the kitchen/ yard.
As a group of cyclists we found the staff to be very helpful and welcoming. The location is excellent if you are cycling the Way of the Roses as we were.
A little bit pricey compared to other accommodation that we used. This extended to the price of drinks in the bar as well.
The room was full of character, and the staff were on the ball.
Pleasant Outlook in good tourist area. Nice room. Excellent full breakfast.
A little overpriced
Beautiful hotel situated in the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Staff were fantastic, room was clean, comfortable and spacious (our room overlooked the hotel's garden and Kilnsey Crag), breakfast was good although slightly lacking in choice. Can't wait to come back!
Generally great stay in Yorkshire dales, loved the location and the traditional local pub had.a good atmosphere. Facilities.were great and I especially loved the bathroom in Wharfdale
Dated in places, the old fashioned fire doors. Our room had a creaky bed that which ment I didn't sleep well. When I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the creaky floor boards and heavy fire doors were more apparent. Dirty window frames and noticed marks on walls and doors that could be easily washed off.
