Tennyson Retreat

Retreat is a good name as their is agreat feeling of peace and quiet but with proximity to a beautiful city

Shower room got rather wet as extractor did not seem to be working. A Cafetiere would have been nice or a filter jug for coffee.

Very modern

Could do with a TV in the bedroom.

I liked the layout the decor the warmth the heating was good and underfloor and the bathroom shower facilites. I liked the kitchen and everything worked. It was right up our street and secure too In fact I want to book it again and hope I can have the same room too

was really lovely,would book again.under floor heating was bliss. turned down the temp though. you like it hot up there .

when we arrived in our large truck it wasnt easy to get into the courtyard. built for horses not 4x4. andrew explained all the bits. was superb. only cautionary mention; set the sat nav and believe it. Cause when you get there you wont think you have arrived. Its an oasis and a littlle bit of heaven. you cant walk into town, so take a bottle of wine and chill. flange x

Tennyson Retreat is a fantastic apartment, everything you could ask for, much better than a standard hotel (there are a couple of issues otherwise i would have scored 10), with secure parking, well within walking distance of the city centre and the riverside restaurant area well worth a visit.

There are only 2 things I have to say against Tennyson Retreat these are areas for improvement, the shower could do with a booster pump and this would make it excellent. also the bed I found to be a lot on the firm side quite uncomfortable to be fair, which is why i only give a score of 8 otherwise it would be 10.

Quiet Location, close to city, within walking distance so you can leave your car in secure parking provided. Liked the decor, stylish well thought out. Well equipped in kitchen area, comfortable bed and small but good on-suite.

Only a little down side in that information of shops and cafes were not provided even though it said it should be in the information pack. We only saw one person that showed us to our apartment and perhaps needs to develop a little more people skills!

Sytle and comfort

We never meet any of the staff. Only had phone contact. Therefore no way for verifying condition of place and contacts before and after visit. Entry arrangements were a little confusing after a long drive.

was a lovely, really liked the underfloor hearing and mood lighting, the shower was also lovely. We also like how the house was 'upside down' with the bed being in the ground floor apart from the view from the fronr door shows to much of the bedroom. everything was moden and it was spotless.

The sofa was a little to small, could maybe do with a foot rest? and as mentioned above the front door when open showed to much of the bedroom.

Beautiful romantic setting. Very well presented.

Maybe a few tweeks like a pouffe or recliner for your feet. I think flowers, chocolate & cava would have been a lovely touch :-)

The appartment was lovely, very well designed and a little bit of luxury at a great price. The under-floor heating in the bedroom was a great treat! Off road parking provided, which is always a bonus! The location was very handy for the town centre and the staff had left a pack with directions and suggestions for places to go - this was very handy as it was our first trip to Lincoln. We have already recommended the place to friends and would definately stay again.

The bed side cabinets, lights and under the bed were covered in a very thick layer of dust. This was the only fault but it was a big problem as I am an asthmatic and react badly to dust!

It had everything you'd wish for in a serviced apartment if not more. Don't be put off by what looks like a garage door because what you find behind it is a perfect little piece of tranquility in the city!
