- Bath was in terrible state. Mould everywhere. - Shower had massive gaps in the shower pane (filled with mould). - Door did not shut fully and cold wind still came in (as door was to the outside). - cracks on the door frame and ceiling gave the room a depressing look - Microwave had burn marks in the door - provided dishes were greasy
The room was comfy, the facilities were fine and it was fairly peaceful as our room was at the rear, It was lovely and warm, overall a good room. We had a generous cooked breakfast, Very polite and friendly staff, we would recommend it and would stay again.
We could hear the person in the next room talking, and the floor was creaky throughout, the stairs were quite narrow which might prove a challenge for some people.
Well organised, warm, quiet, reasonable breakfast.
Dirty hallways, not so keen on picking key /paying on a different site. Shower minimum flow.
The room was well equipped and clean, so was the shower room. The breakfast room was bright and cheerful and the food on offer was varied enough to suit most people.
I would have liked a better welcome than just someone turning up with the key then leaving. I was cold in bed. I would have liked some marmalade for the toast.
Dirty room, poor bed and cover, had to stand waiting for somebody to let me in to the building for about 15 minutes, tiny breakfast! Over all it was a really bad stay... Would not recommend!
The room was clean and well sized. Value for money was outstanding. The (offsite) staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was served at the Admiral Cunningham Hotel about a mile away. Not a problem for us as we had a car.
Close to where my meeting was on the Sunday. Good price.
Although I was warned that T/V was not working I didn't consider this would be a problem...I had reading to do anyway!!! Room decor was 'black' and included black shaded bedside 'light' which gave no reading light whatsoever plus no chair which single room had, so lacked comfort especially as my mattress the springs showed through and was very uncomfortable. Room 5 & 8.
The staff are always helpful. They're a large family run business which is nice. Microwave, Fridge, ensuite, TV free fast wifi (was about 1mb/sec which is super fast), free safe parking, local supermarket shop next door, the main house which is the pub seems lively... Shower was great - good pressure.
The kettles in every room that I have stayed in are rank. Riddled with limescale. They need to buy new kettles. There is no drinking tap In the room to fill the kettle so you have to buy a bottle next door. TV is very small and a long way from the bed though that's not that bad. Upstairs is very creeky.
breakfast is rich
no staff at site , you have to call you can hear TV sounds of other rooms when you move , the woody ground will tell everybody what are you doing and where you are :) I was afraid to walk too much , as I wake up so early and I am sure I would make noise if I move out of my bed
Quiet room Microwave & kettle in room Comfy bed Good breakfast
Excellent value for money
Microwave and fridge in the room Comfy bed En-suite bathroom Nice, quiet neighbourhood
Nice and quiet and great price all i needed for my stay even a microwave in my room and fridge iron ironing board and hairdryer and kettle complimentery tea .coffee and biscuits even plates and cutlery . Staff were there in minuites to check me in and very helpull i would stay again
Mould in shower
Location for our purposes was okay and relatively easy to find. Room clean but the whole building could do with generally brightening up as it is a bit dowdy.
Did not like the fact it is unmanned. No cold water at all from the tap in a very small en-suite sink. No extractor fan working.Poor shower and not enough towels. Continental breakfast ok but Not enough butter or fresh bread.
Location ... It was not too far
On noisy main road, shower was awful, as no pressure and could not get hot water... Sound of trickling water in bathroom, Heating turned off, so room was cold on arrival.
Comfortable room, but horrible smell of curry or spices for the 3 days I was there even though I had the room window open 24/7.
Smell in room
I have enjoyed my stay here very much. Nice room, decent breakfast, if you are looking for great value for money this is the place.
The fact it is unstaffed I love staying here Shop next door Kitchenette Parking
Needs new mattresses
Breakfast was good and the dining room clean and cheerful.
The bed was very poor quality. No personal touch - the building is unmanned. Towels not changed when left on floor of shower.
Bedding was clean and bed was comfortable.
Bathroom extractor fan was noisy and ceiling and walls were mouldy. Milk at breakfast was off. Asked for quiet room but room was at front of the building next to the road
Price good, comfy bed
Helpful staff, good parking and relaxed atmosphere
Towels were missing on one stay but this seems to be a one off Could do with a coat of paint in the shower room
When I booked I went for value for money. Got just that. Comfy bed and good breakfast. Didn't really need much more.
Bathroom was a not foisty.
