the bed was very uncomfy the staff said they would unlock the kitchen so i could have early breakfast but it was locked! the door looked unsafe
It is quiet and comfortable. It is a house with bedrooms and a dining area. The room was a reasonable size with en suite, a fridge, microwave, iron and TV. There are no staff on site but arrive to book you in and cook breakfast. It is cheap if you just need a decent place to sleep. Only a few minutes from motorway. There is a convenience store next door
Staff was nice, had no problem with changing my room. Location close to the centre, local shop just next to the place. Really unexpensive.
Had to wait 20 min for the staff to let me in. Doors to my room (no.5) had hinges partly-broken so had problems with closing them. The whole place could be a bit cleaner (shower cabin doors, cutlery).
Easy access. Although we would not recomment to other travellers, we would stay here again.
No one to greet us. Had to make a telephone call and we did not have a mobile, so had to ask someone. Waited 10 mins maybe for someone to turn up. The waiting time could have been shorter or longer, but when you are waiting time seems longer. On exit - nobody to leave money with, so assume this will be debited from the credit card given.
Cheap accommodation close to visiting our Son. Bed comfortable and clean.
Bed was uncomfortable
tried to ring to check in nobody answered the phone for over 10minutes then had to wait a further 5 minutes for someone to come and give me the key to my room
I like the property
The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and above by the shower
I enjoyed my stay here as a cheap place to stay for a solo traveler, comes with WI-FI and a pleasant breakfast. Despite being next to a road it was quiet inside, and warm. Staff were friendly and likeable. Plenty of room to store away kit, and a good sized bathroom
Unsure of when hot water was switched on Extraction fan in my room (room 6) incredibly noisy, screeches very loud, likely needs to be replaced
good value for money and ample parking
Low cost accommodation with free breakfast and WiFi. We booked two rooms, the twin room in the main building was absolutely fine.
The building was very tired looking on the outside and you have to ring the staff on your mobile to gain access (they pop round in about 5 mins). Not good if it's raining! The double room we stayed in was very tired.
Value for money, Bed comfort, Ability to come and go when we pleased, Proximity to local pub
Advised we could leave bags with a local hotel but couldn't, Shower was more of a drip, WiFi wasn't accessible in my room
Good Wi-Fi, economical.
Stayed overnight following a day at Ascot. Staff allowed us to collect room keys earlier than normal check in to ensure we were able to arrive at the races on time. Short (20 min) walk to train station, and taxi back after was cheap (< £5). Rooms were basic (as you would expect for such cheap prices) but absolutely clean, quiet and comfortable.
We struggled to gain entry to the property on our return as our door key kept sticking in the lock. On calling the staff using the phone number provided though, they arrived within 5 minutes and immediately resolved the problem, so this wasn't really an issue, just a minor inconvenience.
Good basic accommodation. Owner/manager very accommodating with late arrival. Free parking.
Room was nice and facilities in it..
Breakfast wasn't very good. Shower was a bit difficult to work.
Right next to a convenience store
No Breakfast unless you paid extra, shower had no hot water and no pressure (room 5). Toilet constantly running, window handles broken, bed uncomfortable....Need I go on. I won't be staying again if I can help it, Sorry
Adequate parking Easy to find Close to convenience store & public house Fluffy pillows Iron
Customer Service:- Lack of staff on site. We did arrive later than the stated check-in time (noon), so had to call the number on the partially concealed notice in the window and wait for someone to arrive from somewhere else. (Would there have been staff there at noon?) Shown very quickly to room, no explanation about breakfast and check out arrangements. (eventually found details for on back of door, and checking out reviews from other patrons). Had to use number again to report lack of hot water; after an hour's wait, called again to check progress. Coming up to the second hour, by chance used tap to wash hands and discovered hot water - would it have been too much to ask for a courtesy knock on the door/call to say that the issue had been sorted? Tired, ill-fitted decor: Curtains barely drew together to cover whole window; also, thinly lined allowing a lot of light into room. No nets/voiles so could possibly be seen from the carpark. Knocks, chips and stains on the paintwork and furniture. Dusty lampshades. Edges of carpets not clean/dust free Fridge overworked (due to bag of ice frozen into the freezer compartment) making the room even hotter than it already was. 'Self-service breakfast': Out of date 'pastries' (i.e. supermarket bought croissants), half a loaf of bread, stale orange juice does not a 'continental breakfast' make. Poorly ventilated room - whilst we can't control the weather, the room held in the heat of the day and both of us didn't sleep very well. Turned off the 'fridge in an attempt to reduce heat (and it was noisy). Unclean glassware in bathroom. Slow shower - had to run for a fair few minutes before the hot water came through. Teeny sink - I nearly knocked myself out on the glass shelf above whilst cleaning my teeth. Mould/mildew in and around shower. Thin walls - was woken up by another guest's alarm clock. Could hear the television from another room. Steep, narrow stairs.
Seemed confused about my booking.didn't get the room I was booked in to.wet towels, after day two and no place to dry them.the shower wasn't very inviting and the shower door wouldn't stay closed when using the shower hence the shower mat/ towel got very wet,but no place to dry it or a dry replacement would have been nice.no not the best place to recommend
Convenience, location, quiet, safety however ......
The shower in room 3; didn't want to use it. It needs a steam clean, bleach, to get rid of the black mold. Wasn't very nice.
Fridge in room, great for keeping our drinks cool as was an exceptionally hot day Nice clean sheets Free WiFi
The kitchenette area was dusty and did not look as though it had been cleaned at all. Bed was uncomfortable
The breakfast room, fridge and microwave in the room.
Having to wait for someone to turn up as they own two hotels, the shower was hopeless.shame no English breakfast at the weekends.it wouldn't hurt hotels to have fans or ceiling fans in the heat.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities. No fuss check in. Car Parking Shop next door Great location for Farnborough Air Show. Discount available on food at The Admiral Cunningham pub located nearby.
No cooked breakfast at the weekend.
No staff on site Wi-fi didn't work Small, poorly placed TV Average breakfast
Location was close enough to walk into town. Local pub and local shop.
On a busy road, it was too noisy to have window open but room was too hot not to have it open. Single bed was uncomfortable, as it appeared to be a mattress on top of a mattress that dipped in the middle and gave me chronic backache and I ended up taking mattress off and putting it on the floor. Shower was poor, it took ages to get hot water and water pressure wasn't good. Although cooked breakfast was offered Monday to Friday, it wasn't at weekend and was only continental, which was when I stayed.
