I thought that the atmosphere was relaxing, homely but professional.

Would have preferred a room to the rear of the building.

I was made to feel very welcome on arrival and this continued for my whole stay. Little touches made such a big difference. Breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious.

The hotel was what I needed- a comfortable stay for the night.

The electric Kettle did not work so could not have my morning cuppa which I need to "come to life"

Lots of little touches in the bedroom enhanced our comfort - everything has been anticipated. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

Proximity to major road did make traffic noise a bit of an issue - tho earplugs were provided!

Attention to detail in furnishings & fittings. Style in keeping with age of property. Food really good.

Not really a negative; the position is on a busy crossroads, but this didn't interfere really with sleep, as room is double-glazed.

Food very nice, good choice and not bad price. Nice bed.

Noisy floorboards, room very cold until I uncovered the radiator from behind the curtains, shower head full of lime scale (only 1/4 of holes let water out), rationed breakfast, 2% charge if want to use credit card to pay, card machine cut out 4 times in a row, road noise very bad (so bad that ear plugs provided on bed side table), cold water tap in bathroom hot,

Food was excellent at dinner and breakfast. Room was disappointing, but everything worked and mattress was comfortable, though bed squeezed in a bit. Thought the noise from the traffic would disturb us, as we sleep with the window open, but it was not too bad, and certainly did not keep us awake.

Not a very inspiring entrance. It is such a pity that the hotel is located at a roundabout, so you cannot use the lovely front door, but enter through the archway in to the courtyard of the old farm buildings. Too many knick knacks around the place. Too many wooden block tea light holders, which might look lovely in the dark but not the rest of the time. Lounge is not very inviting.

we were very satisfied with our stay at Ternhill in all aspects, we have one small suggestion in that it would be helpful if there was a tea towel in the room to complement the tea and coffee facilities. we will certainly recommend it to our friends.

There was nothing we did not like
