Good staff, nice location and decent breakfast
Hardly slept due to noisy plumbing
Excellent location for short walk into town and good facilities and breakfast.
But you cannot beat the location.
Excellent evening meals. Good value for money
Great location 1 minute to town centre and easy travelling routes. Quiet off road location. Really nice breakfast.
Only one thing we did not like was the noisy chiller fan at the back in the courtyard area as it was running all night.
Location is excellent, breakfast is amazing, we stayed at room 6 but also room 1 was amazing, and shower was awesome. Its really safe.
WiFi is week signals at the room sometimes the signal vanishes, the covers are not too clean they put the dirty cover between two sheets. You must leave your keys at the hotel if your going out but that didn't bother us.
The Terraces is a good, simple hotel where the staff make an effort to look after the clients. The unpromising looking bistro is staffed by friendly waitresses and the food is unexpectedly good...try the scallops, black pudding and bacon starter and the salmon with barley risotto...really good!
Clean, comfortable, well situated for town center, brilliant breakfast. Had the lunch/early evening meal which was really tasty and great value, served by well presented, friendly, helpful staff who could not have been better.
Access not easy, but now I know how to get in, I would use this hotel again, it would not put me off.
Friendly staff and atmosphere
Some of housekeeping eg mattress cover not on the bed even though pointed out to staff
Comfortable room Excellent breakfast Great location for Stirling Centre
Periodic loud noise from possibly the heating system interrupted my sleep. Couldn`t open windows for ventilation
Good location, breakfast was lovely a d our waitress was very pleasant.
Rooms very small and bathroom was very cramped. Shower was awful one minute it is cold and next boiling hot. The receptionist wasn't the friendliest I have come across either.
We liked its convenience to the centre of Stirling, The staff were welcoming and very helpful with our questions about the locality. Presentation of breakfasts varied each morning depending on which staff were on duty. The menu of 3 courses for £10 in their Bistro was excellent value for money and we did that for 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. Our room was clean and adequately serviced adequately serviced.
Our room was quite small and there was one high backed chair so it wasn't really comfortable to sit down in our room once we were in at the end of the day.
Genenator of the kitchen starts at 700 AM hrs and ends at 1100 hrs PM. That is a lot of noise.
Room very small... Breakfast service very slow
Liked the food and location of hotel
After a drive up to Aberdeen from Yorkshire we travelled @2.5hrs back to hotel only to be told no meals as they haven't a chef, was told we would have to walk into town and find somewhere!!!!.....we managed to get the bloke on reception to make us a sandwich(only just) for breakfast as we were leaving early & there was no night porter..might of caught this place at a bad time but won't be back...
nice hotel close to center of stirling ,,rooms were comfortable ,,unfortunately no dining so had to go out for evening meal,,,breakfast very good
Good central location, wonderful shower, good food, restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Excellent for trains to Glasgow (Commonwealth Games), within walking distance of great selection of places to eat.
The only downside was finding the road the hotel was situated on, but once we found it, there were no more problems! I was also surprised to find that the payment for the room was taken shortly after the booking was confirmed.
Location in both Edinburgh and Stirling was excellent and the rooms were lovely.
Location good and friendly staff.
Room very tired, lacked storage space and bathroom was very poor. Fan did not work so smelled damp.
