An elegant and beautifully preserved Victorian building, with ornamental ceilings and tasteful Eastern ornaments, in the leafy outskirts of Maidenhead, just off the A4, 5 minutes from Maidenhead town...

Comfortable room, friendly staff, easy booking, Wi-Fi availability, good food in hotel restaurant, and Marmite available at breakfast!!!!
Regret the lack of a lift for disabled visitors although I understand the reasons why.
The location and service was excellent
Location, View of river from room, Value for money, Friendly Staff
Everything you need without the expense of London and yet an easy commute
Lovely riverside walks. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly.
Walls of bedrooms very thin, Could hear people talking and snoring in next room.
I live in maidenhead and would pick this hotel every time good all round hotel staff plesant friendly food excellent plus relaxing and river views amazing
General facilities good. Breakfast was fantastic.
Location to A4. Adjacent to the river Thames. Good package price room breakfast. Parking. Friendly staff.
Outside needs a good overall. Painting rendering. Layout in dinning room at breakfast time when helping yourself to the food congested area. People getting in each other's way.
Location, excellent. Staff friendly and very helpful.
No lift. Somewhat of a struggle up to the 3rd floor, (but was helped with the suitcases.)
Nice breakfast. Nice View
A bit noisy as it is close to the main road. Can't expect good quality of sleep.
Adjoining resturant, bar
Room was to uncomfortable, cramped.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast reasonable, though the addition of (eg) a choice of pastries would improve it.
No sound-proofing between the rooms-could hear conversation clearly in next rooms. No A/C-difficult to sleep on hot summer's night. Had several problems (on price) with the taxi company recommended by the hotel-would suggest they use another company.
The location was really lovely and the car park handy. The bar area was modern. but the bedroom and bathroom were in a serious need of an update. Broken toilet sink, plug hole that wouldn't work, water stains on the ceiling....
The bedroom and bathroom were in a serious need of an update. Broken toilet sink, plug hole that wouldn't work, water stains on the ceiling.... Staff were not the friendliest in the world :(
location of hotel, also the seating in the bar area very comfortable. Breakfast very good standard and staff very helpful. Plenty of parking space which I think is very important and also free which is a bonus these days.
Outside seating area in the front could do with a bit more TLC.
A welcoming reception
We really enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived we were greeted very warmly by the receptionist. She was extremely helpful and did everything she could to help I.e. Offering and calling us a taxi, she was very cheerful every time we saw her. We found all the staff excellent, bar staff restaurant staff. We will definitely recommend this hotel and hopefully be back again soon ourselves. Thank you very much.
This was exactly the type of hotel I was looking for. The staff were on hand to help but left you alone at all other times. They were genuine and courteous. Parking was ample, the rooms were clean and surprisingly well equipped. Nice views over the Thames (across a road).
It was a little bit noisy in the evening as our room was near the pub/restaurant garden and we had our windows open due to it being a hot night. If you are looking for an early night, I would ask for a room at the back of the hotel, although to be fair the noise really didn't go on particularly late.
Value and locstion
Room was very hot .
Location was excellent Pleasent Staff, very helpful
Very dated rooms Breakfasts poor, quality of food poor. Breakfast tables not being tidyed up Needs a revamp
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a plentiful choice of food.
Noise outside front rooms at night with late night drinkers
Welcoming staff Location Parking
The location and friendly staff
The fact that when I phoned asking about various requirements, my requests were ignored and not even noted! One of the rooms we booked was far too hot and impossible to sleep in. Given that there is no air con The windows should have been opened and the curtains drawn. My daughter and her husband had no choice but to return home, there being no other cooler rooms available! No lift and very steep stairs.
Restaurant and bar are what make the price reasonable, the food was really fantastic
