Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, also a really good breakfast. I actually got the hotel for £38 so it really did turn out to be good value for money. Some of the rooms have a stunning view over the Thames. Some people would find the restaurant to be a bit on the pricey side but the quality of food was spot on in my opinion and worth paying for

The view of the river from our room was delightful. Reception staff were very helpful and efficient. The food was good and the restaurant staff were very good too. Fresh pots of tea and coffee would be better than the present situation of urns of hot water to make your own tea and coffee.

Th restaurant. Very good food, well cooked and reasonable prices. Also a very good wine list. Dining room has stunning location, but being there only at night, was unable to appreciate it! The second room, booked for my daughter, was unusable. In spite of a No Smoking Room request, it would seem that staff possibly used the room as an unofficial smoking room, leaving many cigarette ends outside the window! The room was changed, but suggests sloppy housekeeping. For me I found the accessibility into and within the hotel very poor, especially between hotel and restaurant. I am temporarily disabled and found the multitude of levels and steps unacceptable.

My room was newly renovated, modern and clean. The staff was friendly, and there is a good restaurant downstairs. The location on the river is beautiful. My single room was small, and the old window could only be opened a crack. You have to carry your bags up a narrow staircase. My room was on the backside, and fairly quiet, but I can imagine that the rooms on the busy streetside would be loud. A spotlight shining onto the building made it impossible to look out the window in the evenings.

I stayed in room 309 and as it was a very hot weekend I found it to be very uncomfortable. The window only opens 2 inches and the fan was just blowing hot air. Food was excellent and right on the river

Food and service were good. Staff friendly. All interiors, particularly furniture, were old and extremely shabby and dirty looking.

Stayed at The Thames Riviera in 2009 when visiting the area for a wedding and was very impressed with the hotel then, hence the return visit, this time for a short break to London (with a short train journey each day!) Clean modern rooms, friendly staff, good quality food. Would definitely visit again.

The hotel was in a superb location and staff were pleasant. Our room (309) on the top floor, although supposedly a double, should only be used for single occupancy, it was tiny and the small, double bed was pushed up against the wall, therefore my husband or I had to climb in and out of the bottom of the bed to use the bathroom!

The view over the Thames is really stunning, Despite it is on a busy road, you can't hear the traffic noise. The restaurant is really a gourmet one. It is really good value for money Despite the food served at the restaurant is very nice, maybe it's a bit overpriced

The room was very comfortable and clean, and we were surprised with a river view. Access to the river walking path was excellent and it led to Boulter's restaurant on the Loch, yum! Wifi was great. Carrying luggage upstairs.

The hotel was located next to the Thames and so you could walk alongside it for about 3 miles. Good location for Windsor. We'd booked a standard double room as the booking showed a lovely photo of a spacious room with large windows and said it had a balcony. Unfortunately we were given a very small room with 2 very small windows on the top floor (3rd floor) and when I looked on the website again, this room was being sold at this time of year as a single room. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she said that was the standard double room. I only booked the hotel as I like spacious bright rooms, the balcony was not the issue. Fortunately the receptionist offered us another room in the adjoining lodge and upgraded us to a river view with a balcony. In the hotel there are no lifts and the steps up to the 3rd floor are steep and can be difficult with large bags.

Location was very handy for Windsor Castle, liked Maidenhead. Toilet in en-suite was dirty. I unfortunately broke a mug on my first day, and it was not replaced.

The location, besides the river Thames Restaurant during the breakfast time. It is first come first service and if you are late (though within the time range for breakfast), things run out, including glasses for juice.

View from the restaurant and the cooked breakfast. Decor of the dining room and bar area. The carpet in the room (418) needs a bit of attention. It could do with an industrial clean.

Although we have rated comfort as good - we did have no central heating in the room - the staff however were very understanding and helpful and tried to re-accommodate but you were well booked and other rooms were too small but we were given adequate supplementary heating and on request given comlimentary breakfasts. Both the positive attitude of the staff and agreeing to provide breakfast for made the stay a success and we would be included to book again because of that. Nothing we didn't like except initial heating problems - if have anything to add it would have been slightly nicer to be offered free breakfasts as compenstaion rather than to ask for it.
